Fuuuuck Monaco and fuck Giroud for that loss a decade ago.
Arsenal at home to Monaco - Champions League 11th December 2024
Was in a box for this 1! Different experience but still very enjoyable! MLS great pass for the 1st goal. He can take Zinchenko's place in the squad next season.
Very happy with the win. Would be great to avoid that knockout round in Feb. 1 more win will do it
I was surprised at the number of empty seats. Almost felt like I was at a league cup game. Upper tiers and club level seats had plenty of bald spots. It's surprising since there was a lot to play for in this match.

I couldn't be arsed to wake up to watch, just saw the tail end cos it's when I usually wake up anyway.
A little bit ennui, a little bit bad timing.
Qwiss If you want to score open play goals, you need to create open play chances. And Jesus consistently made good runs that gave him opportunities to scores goals. And then he created the Saka goal.
If I compare this performance to what we have seen in other games, it’s a big step up and means he can step in for Havertz if he maintains or betters this showing
My brother said there were literally dozens of seats (maybe a couple of hundred?) available on ticket exchange the night before the fixture. While at the game I hadn't seen so many empty seats in a PL or CL game for a couple of years now.
Our football has not been great and we're close to being out of the title race, but this is nothing like 2019 when MAYBE you could be forgiven for not wanting to watch Emeryball on a chilly evening.
banduan was a game in 3 parts
- first half we were completely dominant and should’ve scored 2 or 3. We had 8 shots to 2
- beginning of second half, they made subs and packed their midfield, allowing them to control the ball. We were out of the game for 25 minutes. 0 shots to 5
- last 20 minutes. We made some subs and took back control. Scored 2 goals. 8 shots to 0
I thought Jesus was good too for what it’s worth. Missing 1v1s is part of his profile even at his best, but physically and in terms of involvement he was much more like himself. The crazy dribbling is still not there though.

That was the best part of him.
It's the hardest part because when you're in poor form/lack sharpness and keep losing the ball trying, you eventually stop trying.
Martinelli sort of falls in the same bracket, though I thought this was one of his best games in a while on that front.
QuincyAbeyie it’s so obviously absent. Wonder how much of it is ability versus confident.
