Pepe LeFrits To mention someone (so that they get a notification), type @ followed by their name.

To quote someone, highlight the text in their comment that you want to discuss. A quote button will appear, which you can then click.

You can preview posts by clicking on the eye icon next to the Post Reply button.

You can embed tweets or youtube videos just by pasting in the URL - no tagging required.

When you first sign in, all posts will be unread. You may to mark the entire forum as read by clicking on the tick icon in the top right corner.

Flarum remembers where you have read up to on a thread, but as this is a fresh install, it hasn't got your thread locations stored yet. So when clicking into any new threads, you will be brought into the first post. You can navigate to the last post by dragging the post number on the right hand side. If new posts are added to that thread afterwards, you should be brought to that point when you next click the thread/discussion.

      Fully sick, @Pepe LeFrits

I have been enjoying the new interface, seems to do most of what you'd want while preserving the old school "phpBB" flavour.

One thing people might not have realised is there's a Slack-style emoji palette feature, where if you type a colon ':' in a message followed by text, the editor will prompt you with matching emojis.

The available 🎩 and 🥚 emojis don't really reflect the old Tolly vibe

Feels almost surreal the big move finally happened after quite a few years talking about how it mightn't be a bad idea. Great work. 👏

This is cool. Are they no sub forums anymore? So this is more of a reddit style?

Clrnc there can be sub categories/forums but I removed the 'Main Forums' heading for the main forums as it doesn't really add any benefit and created extra clicks under this setup.

The categories act as forums, you can select them from the top bar drop down on mobile, or the left hand menu on desktop

On mobile... Is there better a way to scroll to end of the thread?

There's no PM function so @Pepe LeFrits jones is having trouble logging in, he tried to create a new account, tried resetting PW all to no avail.

          Nicknames

You can set a nickname in your account settings which will appear on your posts. The nickname can contain spaces and non-standard characters.

Your username is what you use to login with and receive @mentions. e.g. my username is PepeLeFrits but my nickname is Pepe LeFrits.

Great work Pepe. Looks much better on mobile. I should have read this thread before asking my question in the other one!

Another nice feature … when you're on any thread and you're using the full width desktop display, mouse to the left and a drawer linking to all the latest discussions opens, which can be pinned.

banduan Good thinking. Instead I have added a link to it in the desktop nav bar across the top, and on the left hand menu on mobile.

              ?

Categories is in the top bar on mobile and left bar on desktop, FAQ is on the top bar on desktop and the left bar on mobile.
