Biden out
2024 US Election
He’s been dead man walking since that debate.
Be interesting to see who takes the spot
the next month is going to be incredible

live by the sword, die by the sword. the rapidity with which moneyed interests and corporate media flipped on Biden in the wake of that debate almost made this feel like a coordinated hit.
democrats are getting swept in november no matter who the replacement is.
Saw Biden endorsed Harris...
Lol i don't have high hopes for her

Not an ounce of grace.
I wonder what the process is now, I don’t think this has happened before has it?
Surely there would need to be some kind of vote, not very democratic to let Kamala take over. During the presidency if he stood down fair enough but she hasn’t been selected by the party to fight the next election so surely they’ll need to be some kind of process?
I mean if I was a serious candidate I wouldn’t be putting my name forward, it would take a miracle for anyone to beat Trump from this position.

It’s definitely gonna be Kamala standing
Well the pressure succeed will see if it has any impact to the democrats. The world could really do without a trump presidency but it's not clear what they alternative offer is at the moment. Hopefully they find someone who can appear credible to the country.
Obama knows...

Obama is a coward, he never takes a stance in a tricky spot. No surprise there.
Don't have high hopes for Kamala but a loss in 24 might let the Dems reset a bit as a party. There is an old guard that desperately needs to be cleared out, and they have no up and coming candidates whatsoever.
harris is a cop and she isnt great on the whole, but a bag of doorknobs has a better chance against trump than biden did.
also, this
CPM i disagree to an extent.

all young enough to make a difference. what we truly need is people like pelosi, schumer, hoyer and obama to just fuck off and retire/stay away. let the party grow, get back to fucking organizing and building grassroots support in every single state instead of catering to the donor class who are 50/50 to either not vote or vote for a republican anyway because they dont want to pay taxes
mdgoonah41 Yeah, we're on the same page, even if I'm never going to get delirious about the Democrats. All of those names you mention should be higher profile at this point. With a proper competitive primary Whitmer would have a good chance at being the nominee IMO – pro-labor governor of a midwestern swing state, who has actually shown a modicum of governing competence. But we're stuck with this cabal of octogenarians and Hamptons centimillionaires who hate democracy and want to pull the strings themselves.

Qwiss I think it probably will, Trump has been even more pro Israel overtly, he has talked about pressuring Ukraine to give Putin what he wants and signalling to abandon Taiwan. That will create more instability in the world and that's not including his radicalising further the extreme right. There may not be perfect options in the world but there are certainly worse ones in my view and trump is very much that.
