lorddulaarsenal yeah I was well pissed off he took points off us and was then about to leave.

lorddulaarsenal

Lol the guy isn’t Maradona.

City will destroy Fulham with or without this guy.

Just because we were shit against them doesn’t mean our rivals will be.

They have one of the worst defences in the league.

goon I said this before but for all the complaints about our selling prices hardly any of them end up good value for the buyers. That's the bigger problem, we don't sell well because generally what we sell is trash.

To be fair, I think there's an intelligent criticism about our seeming relative unwillingness to deal Balogun to rich suitors. But it seems like most of the criticism takes the form of "Why was Edu unable to telemarket his way into selling Cedric Soares for £8m?". That combined with befuddlement that high-level teenage prospects are deemed more valuable assets than middle-career decent players.

Didn't expect them to go big on two strikers, but they seem to have learned their lesson from signing older superstars. Ugarte, Muani, Ramos, Dembele, Barcola, Kang-in Lee, Skriniar and Lucas Hernandez is a good mix of youngsters, players in their prime and experience. If the rumors of Mbappe renewing are true, they might be good.

Ridiculous level of spending though, as usual.

No surprise he is at a club like Girona at the age of 22. Never understood why Pep and Barca was fighting so hard for him few years ago

lorddulaarsenal dont think so. if the player wants to leave 3 years into an 8 year deal, and there is in interest in the player, they can sell the player and bring back funds. which theyve clearly done this window. the only way it ends up hurting them is if they pay big money for a player and that player gets hurt (and cant be sold) or the player completely nosedives and not even mid table teams want them

United love buying slow players don’t they. Amrobat and Reguilon. Guff signings. They’re a dense club

The viewpoint of my mate Luke. He's an Everton fan. Not sure he's going to be shedding any tears at Iwobi's departure..

mdgoonah41 the player completely nosedives and not even mid table

You make it sound like this is rare. There is a strong likelihood that a lot of the signings they make won't pan out and they won't be able to shift them.

Pepe LeFrits which players havent they been able to shift recently? they sold a worthless player to arsenal for £65m this summer. they've sold a bunch of other guys with very low profiles for balogun fees.

signing a longer contract is bad for the player in most cases, because it limits their leverage. its almost never a bad deal for the club itself. especially now that the saudi bailout fund is available too
