I think the bid coming in so late is what will cause issues. They've had literally 2 months to get this done and I reckon Liverpool would have considered anything above £100m. Donning the tinfoil hat, it could be stupid or, if it were to go through for £120m or more, it could just be a way of covering up an absurdly inflated fee.
