If Holding is sold and we do not get anyone in, we are left with 6 defenders, there is no doubt in my mind what so ever the next game we loose a CB for long time. We have just rotten luck with injuries...add that Zinchenko and Tomy can get injured standing up to fast ...it's gonna be a bad season for us.

I'd take Cancelo on loan at this stage given our options but I doubt City would agree to it

JazzG on the last day of the transfer window...they won't sell. Klopp said 10 times now they won't sell...I think it would piss him off very bad, to the point where he would walk. And to be fair, they are fucked without him. But yeah, next summer or even next January he is off. And they will make a shit load of money off him
I can't believe Spurs are ready to pay 35-45 million for Conor Gallagher. Chelsea have gotten so so lucky with sales this summer.

JazzG its a 150 million apparently. I'd have taken that if I was Schmadtke, granted the player accepted. Klopp must fancy a title charge, or conversely may be nervous about his post should things go south.
I think the bid coming in so late is what will cause issues. They've had literally 2 months to get this done and I reckon Liverpool would have considered anything above £100m. By leaving it so late it will take bonkers money to get them to sell. Even then like HomSteak mentions Klopp is gonna be super pissed if they go against him.

Donning the tinfoil hat, it could be stupid or, if it were to go through for £120m or more, it could just be a way of covering up an absurdly inflated fee.
Arteta says there is no one else coming in.
