I was very surprised not many people noticed and made noise about it. Could be the difference between us winning the title and not

Clrnc Chelsea will be good next year. They might even catch Spuds for 5th. Incredible given that 2 months ago they were 11th

It's quite a surprise Pochettino has actually gotten on top of it to some extent, he looked like he was out of his depth all season.

Burnwinter Once Nkunku is fit and Lavia comes back I think they will be a top 4 contender over Villa.

Gusto is a great upgrade over James as well.

est Lol, same here. I was at work and my colleague was trying to give me updates in the first half, I was like nope.

Shame on you lot for even thinking about supporting Spurs. There's only one way that has ever ended for anyone.

Now west ham is a different story. Would be surreal if we could 1989 this. Highly unlikely. Already signed off emotionally for the season.

Clrnc what in the fuck? I had no idea this happened. what a fucking disgrace 😡

Clrnc what is the source though. I think always worth having scepticism with these things particularly online and it looks like the account is Arsenal linked? Also the amount of times freeze frame screenshots are used to 'prove ' something but don't give you the full context. You just end up in conspiracy theory rabbit holes. Even if that's disallowed who knows what happens City could still go onto win. Not worth being bothered about from our perspective I'd say.

Clrnc I actually said this to my mate not long after the final whistle. I said they might all think it's great and funny now but at some point for absolute certain, for any of them that aren't completely braindead, there will be a moment that night when it starts to sink in how truly pathetic it was. Small time doesn't begin to describe it.

Clrnc there's clearly some truth to what he's saying. That being said, can't dispute that Spurs are much more serious force now than they were during his time (just still not serious enough) - regardless of club loyalties, Levy is probably significantly responsible for that.

The challenge now though is that they face a very tough period of paying off a stadium without CL football for who knows how long. That could undo all the progress they've made (fingers crossed).

They probably do need a manager who through force of will can reshape the club culture like Arteta did. Not an easy job and I have no idea whether Ange would be capable of that (even if the intent is there).

est imagine if I was so shit at my job that I couldn’t use the software correctly and instead of sacking me, they binned the software. Must be nice.

goon The PL Chief Executive attending the Arsenal-Everton game so he doesn't have to present 115 Charges with the PL trophy. What a surreal situation.

        😆

I'd rather referees came to the right decision, however long it takes, then for them to make the wrong one. Whilst VAR has had its issues, the overall number of correct decisions has gone up so giving that up for more mistakes is ludicrous. However, whilst I can understand referees making mistakes due to the speed of the game, making them when you have the benefit of replays is just unacceptable, hence why for me refereeing feels far worse than its ever been. Regardless, the issue is not with VAR but the officials using the tool. If they did end up scrapping it, I don't think I could continue watching this shit.

goon i would rather the PL got this case right. By all accounts we will have another full season before we get a verdict. This team has made a mockery of fair play. But hopefully the premier league has its ducks in a row and doesn’t get caught out on a technicality- “your honor, UAE doesn’t own the club, we just give it unlimited funds through our various state owned entities.”

Claudius Do you genuinely think there's a chance of any significant punishment? It's quite political when it's an oil nation state. Can they just threaten to restrict UK's access to their oil in response to any sanctions? Wouldn't be surprised if those conversations are happening behind closed doors.

invisibleman18 Saudi pumps out 3x as much oil as UAE. I don’t thin these guys have oil leverage. This is purely a football issue. The PL likes them because they have brought us Haaland, KDB, Guardiola and the champions league. But at what cost to competition?

For the league this judgement is still quietly framed by the Johnson government's threat of an "independent regulator" after the last attempt at a breakaway ESL. It's impurely an impure football issue.

As for the geopolitics, I think they'd be more likely to play a part of sorts if that hypothetical "independent regulator" were involved. The UK government has no track record of stepping up to Gulf monarchies.

Burnwinter their underlying stats have been alright all season, they just kept missing their chances. This was pretty much always coming.
