Official: Mikel Arteta is the new Arsenal manager.

Claudius So the solution is clear. We need to to force the issue in transfer market. Or risk serious cascading effects with Martinelli, Odegaard, Timber etc
Imagine all we end up with is bringing in another defender to cover the departure of Tierney and/or Zinchenko?
Edit:
Didn't realise this when I made the post. Arteta probably thinking "All hands on deck then Josh, we got a priority signing to make."
Wenger used to be great at changing things up and getting new combos to work when we were in spells like this. I fear Arteta is too rigid to pivot like that.
Wenger also went to 3 at the back towards the end of the diabolical 16/17 season and it helped us get a few crucial results.
By the way if we don't get a top scoring CF then we absolutely need to get a reliable goalscorer from the left because Saka isn't enough. Also until we do that we need somehow find an attacking player to play in the 8 because Rice is not going to cut it supporting Havertz/Jesus and Martinelli/Trossard otherwise we are just camped outside the box and going from side to side. Unfortunately we sold the only other attacking midfielder we had in the summer without replacing him.
Such a good manager - just do yourself a favour and get a striker and winger with the required ability. We won’t progress otherwise
Not sure what to make of that?
Is it the Kroenkes? Though why spend on Merino and Cala if funds are limited?
Time to buy a new left back!
A lot of fans are going to switch off or get uppity if we don’t get a striker in - be silly not to
Even if we do get a worldie they probably won’t be able to play Champs League

Looked at a few of these lists. Marmoush and Osimhen are the only two players who could help in champions league. I doubt Isak is an option given where Newcastle are headed. If we could get Gyokeres even if he was cup tied, would be worth it. And I’m still a Sesko fan.
lorddulaarsenal what was that spend £80m-ish combined? It's not much for a club with title aspirations.
Team looks stale and bereft of ideas , no individuality no drive no urgency no style. Just slow and boring to watch . We played against 10 men , and we took so long on throws and set pieces they could as well have been sipping lemonade and chilling before they organized to get defending.

Another trophyless season and not even really challenging for the league this time so it's probably fair for questions to start to be asked. Of course every team will be worse off without their best player but for the amount of money spent the whole thing shouldn't completely fall over with one injury.
We really are a punish to watch too. Pointless even going forward when there's noone there to do anything. Havertz maybe had a purple patch for a handful of games or whatever it was but he's clearly not a striker and we're now paying the price for an investment that never made sense. Like Sterling and Luiz and all the others, there's a reason Chelsea let them come here.
