Would our replay with United not be played a week later, seeing as we have Monaco on the Tuesday?

Balls. Yeah you're right. Forgot we've still got that valiant loser crap thing to do where we go there and get a decent result.

edit: Cheers Dragan

I had to switch to a lower quality stream just to avoid Owen's commentary.

😆
Game's gone to a replay, brilliant 🙂

I can only assume that Michael Owen spent all his career facing forwards, 80 yards upfield and has never actually watched a football match.

Liverpool will probably find a way to squeeze past Blackburn in the replay but its still good they have another game to play. Anything to halt the momentum they've been building up - although that might have already happened after today.

If it does go to a replay, scheduling's going to be a nightmare for Liverpool. They've got a league game next Monday. They'll get less than 48 hours gap between that and a Wednesday replay, and then they play Man Utd on Sunday. Man Utd have a similar problem but less extreme. We absolutely have to bring Man Utd for a replay - convinced they'll roll over for us in order to beat Liverpool.

That is some strategic thinking Pat.

Looks like it'll be Reading in the semi-final. I'm kinda glad, Bradford might be a division lower but they've going giant killing pedigree.

Kolo comes on for the Scousers 😆

Great bantz by the Rovers support:

"Stand up if you won the Premier League"

And

"You're just a shit Steven Gerrard" at Jordan Henderson

Nice.

Toure / Lovren CB pairing 😆

Surprised there is not any comment regarding Liverpool progressing in the Cup.

I don't think anyone seriously thought that they wouldn't progress.

Coutinho showing his quality again

Blackburn were a bit unlucky. They could have won this game.

I don't care. Judging by their defensive display over these two legs we would have struggled more against Blackburn than Liverpool. Crushing Gerrard in the final is worth the extra danger that we might lose if you ask me.

Soon we'll probably be facing Reading again. I wonder if I will ever again witness a football match as utterly bonkers as the 2012 game against them. Hopefully this time we'll beat them in a more sensible way and then we can look forward to the cup final against Pool.

Although the thought of losing the cup to them is horrible, the thought of crushing their last shred of hope and dignity easily overshadows those worries.

I still haven't gotten over the '01 Final.

That being said, I'm dreading facing them in the final. You just know all the powers in the universe will combine and make sure Gerrard gets a trophy in his last ever game for Liverpool which also happens to be on his birthday. I'm already cringing at the thought of the media wankfest.

Judging by his career, it's more likely the powers in the universe will combine and make sure he fucks up.
