Now, now Claudius - just because it's a court room doesn't automatically mean John Terry is there.

Twitterati saying we've approved a move for Vidal

Anyone reliable in particular?

Nope it's some south american publication that references the metro.

According to Italian Newspaper FellForito we are 100% signing Vidal...

😆

A South American publication that references Metro.. who probably refereneced FellForito... who in turn referenced the South American publication. Circle jerk football transfer rumor edition

too bad they don't finish on each other, the cunts.

4 days later

Mirror/Telegraph and Independent saying we're bidding £21m for Vidal.

That would make complete sense for not continuing to pursue Schneiderlin.

I have a feeling that the journos felt the same way and that's why we're linked with him.

They're reporting it in their transfer rumours section, citing The Express...

Houseboat I'm afraid.

21m.. lol.. pure fantasy stuff there... we would need to up that by 15m to even get a starting point

Nah. Dont be crazy guys, he's not fetching crazy money (£40m+). That's the beauty of being a club our size and appeal, we can actually get players like Özil or Alexis or whoever we want for decent fees. Vidal is 28 and doesnt have many years left on his contract. Bid in the region of £20-something mil is perfectly good opening bid. Can probably end up at around £30m + some add ons, but that's it. We'll get him, if we want him.

There is the small matter of the player being interested in making a sporting step down for increased wages.

Its not a sporting step down. He'd be moving from a second tier league to the best league in the worldâ„¢.

from a team that just got the CL final to a team that cant get past the Rd of 16 and are perennial 3rd/4th placers?   😃

(j/k..  sort of)

doesnt matter..  dont think we're signing him anyway

Yeah, being Serie A champions is no big whop, it's like saying we're a step down from Celtic.

Whichever way you spin it, it is difficult to argue that going from Juve to Arsenal this summer isn't a step down from a sporting pov.
