Not very.

That's the beauty of being a club our size and appeal, we can actually get players like Özil or Alexis or whoever we want for decent fees. Vidal is 28 and doesnt have many years left on his contract. Bid in the region of £20-something mil is perfectly good opening bid. Can probably end up at around £30m + some add ons, but that's it. We'll get him, if we want him.
And if he wants us. And if Juve doesn't want to keep him.
On the other hand, what more can Vidal achieve at Juve? That team has peaked, and if he wants to test himself in England or Spain it's now or never really. Plus I think we'd be able to pay him more.
the obligatory vidal link. this guy will never leave juve
He will, once Juve decides they want to cash in on him or when he realizes he can get a final big payday in europe, by moving to London with his best mate Alexis.
This is the guy you want in your team away at Old Trafford or the Bridge. He doesn't give a fuck, he'll scrap with the best of them. Really want us to go for this one.
Chelsea, Man City and Madrid would all be in before us.
I'd imagine none of those clubs to be the ones interested actually for different reasons.
we keep saying all these other clubs would be in before us.. but to be fair, we did pull off 2 (soon to be 3) incredible transfers that no one thought possible in recent years... we're slowly becoming seen as a destination rather than a stop over
Yup. As I said at the time, Özil is a game changer. Getting that first, recognized superstar in was the hardest step. Alexis followed, and now we all of a sudden look a very tempting team to join even for the best players in the world.
Vidal is not coming here as much as I'd like it. Seems like a genuine Juve fan, at Leverkusen he told Bayern to fuck off so he could move to Juve who finished 7th that season.
Yep. Then again, he was 23 at the time. Since then he's won almost everything with them and now they're going to have to rebuild. Maybe he wants to pursue other venues. Earn more, challenge himself in a new league.
Either way I doubt Juve will even contemplate selling him unless he's pushing for a move. He's pretty much the perfect Allegri player. This is the manager who almost killed Pirlo's career at Milan because he thought Antonio Nocerino was a more worthwhile footballer. He adores physical midfielders, and he's got possibly the best one in Vidal.
im like 75% sure this is happening
Vidal? Not sure. I was very,, very disappointed with his CL final performance. Played like an amateur. Character wise I can't see him gelling with he team bar Sanchez, seems bit of a twat. Schednerlin on the other hand would be a more 'safe' signing.
Was out of his depth for the first 20 minutes in the CL final and looked like he was going to get sent off, but he completely bossed the midfield after that. It was probably just nerves.
How would we prefer to use him - DM replacement for Coquelin, or as CM ball winner ahead of a DLP?
He's a quality player but this recent incident was disappointing. Drinking & driving and endangering others the biggest point. But even the minor point of being as indisciplined as getting drunk during a major international tournament. A normal person would be in the slammer and he's getting special treatment. The arrogance at the time of his arrest is beyond belief. Were he a player already playing in the premier league I can imagine the reaction he'd have gotten from the media. This is much worse than anything Suarez ever did. Imagine him also going our for drinks during a crunch period like the christmas PL schedule or before a CL game. Plus the influence a major star like him can have negatively on others. That's why Barcelona got rid of Ronaldinho and Deco who were proving to be a bad influence on Messi.

Completely bossed is too strong a term. He recovered after the shambolic first half but it definitely wasn't his best performance.
I think he was Juve's second best player in the final, after Marchisio. His poor start to the game put people off, I guess.
