Yeah, for me it isn't even a debate. Man U would be higher up the table if Ferguson was still in charge and they certainly wouldn't have dropped some of the points they have done at home. You don't go from almost 30 years under someone like Ferguson to a complete no-mark like Moyes. They've lost their aura through it and none will feel it more than the players themselves.

And I love it.

Wonder if there is a contingency plan in temporarily reinstate Fungus if things don't pick up soon. Man U outside the top 4 cannot be acceptable by them.

Fergie would be a fool to go back.

Frankly I think they'd be far better off if he'd just fuck off completely.

Don't underestimate the drive and commitment in guys like Wenger and Fungus. It may not be in Fungus' best interest to go back for his legacy, but I think he misses it enormously.

the odious baying smugness out of the Manc lot now. Always on their high horse. Whenever they get flukey wins it's always "you create your own luck". Now the plonkers on redcafe claim we're jammy cunts.

If someone could be arsed wading through that sewer, maybe they could compile some of the bitterest funny bits for us.

The best is them all wailing about Young, one of the biggest cheats in the league, not getting a penalty that was debatable anyway. And against Spurs who they've had so many decisions against over the years.

But yeah you create your own luck and sure it all evens out in the long run.

😆 Has Howard Webb given a peno since Fergie retired?

Don't think so 🙂

Anyone know how much the United penalty awarded count has decreased since Fergie ran out of the place?

Webb must feel a little like Van Persie, since Fergie ran out on both of them.
Bit lost, don't know what to do with themselves...

From RedCafe:

I'm still enjoying the season

It's like a whole new experience. And defeats don't hurt nearly as bad as when you are in a title race.

I guess it's like supporting spurs

Reply to that post:

I agree with you actually. We're so shite its fun watching how we can physically be worse than last week, yet we manage it without fail.

"I don't even get that hurty feeling when we lose anymore"

RvP must be uploading his statement to his website right now.

Redcafe:

His post-match interviews are pathetic. As one of my mates just said, "he's like a chemically castrated Malcolm Tucker". He's a nothing manager.

😆

Defend make any attempt to defend Fabio. Strange.

The little boy inside him must be balling his eyes out

Hopefully Moyes sticks around for this transfer window and the summer, long enough to make at least a few more Fellainiesque signings.

Their squad is seriously mediocre and any manager would have a lot of work cut out for them. Deadwood ( Fabio, Anderson, Buttner), players who were once decent but for whatever reason look lost (Valencia, Young, Cleverley), too old or approaching that age (Ferdinand, Evra, Giggs, possibly Vidic). No doubt the likes of Rooney and RVP will be looking to jump ship sooner rather than later as well

Mike Dean. He surely must be retarded ... 😆

Video is down. What was it?

For all the talk of his slow start as Manchester United boss, it took Sir Alex Ferguson 44 games at Old Trafford to rack up five home defeats. David Moyes has done the same in just 16.

Have to say though, despite how satisfying the lols that Man U are giving us all this season, it does make our defeat and the way we lost to them even more frustrating.

Absolutely. Took me a while to get over that one and it's now getting more and more depressing by the week. Even Spurs won there.

Worst I've seen united in years

Big trouble ahead especially if Rooney leaves.

They have to replace evra, rio, carrick and rvp over the next few years

If I were them I'd spunk a load on Barkley and try to get mata in a swap deal with rooney

Line up like this

----------Welbeck
--mata---kagawa-janujaz
---------jones-Barkley

Only one way of getting over it. Let's make sure we beat them at the Emirates.

We'll beat them at the Emirates.
Thankfully the players didn't agonise and get stuck on the defeat at OT.
Just another game, move on.

Could they just be stupid enough to give Moyes another season to wreck the joint? Given the importance of "continuity" and that Fergie anointed him.

As long as he doesn't drop out of the top four he'll get plenty of time. Losing against Swansea in the FA cup is not a big problem in the scheme of things. Pride takes a little dent but it's not a major competition anymore and hasn't been for years. United went out to the likes of Leeds when Ferguson steered the ship, and they were in League One at the time.

Would cost them a ton of cash to get rid. They signed him onto a 6 year contract. 🙂

Bwahaha. Loving it.

Comparisons with Ferguson's bedding in, the match where he was going to get sacked in 1989 etc, or the seasons he fell short aren't really valid, you just don't get the impression Moyes is up to the task of meeting United's expectations.

We are arriving at this crossroads too. I see a lot of Utd. fans saying Ferguson shouldn't have been allowed to appoint Moyes and wonder what kind of manager Wenger will look for.

A lot of us thought Moyes was a regrettably sensible choice at the time. And there have been one or two people who've even advocated him to replace Wenger in the past (Claudius?). He's really bottling it.

United's situation suggests a manager at a top club should be one who's capable of setting the approach from a position of dominant quality. That's the type of character we should go after. And we shouldn't allow Wenger to leave a broken down squad behind.

Wenger should have no input into who comes after him. He has said as much plenty of times too.

Does seem pretty hard to get enough distance to be objective for people in his position. United should've gone after Mourinho I'd say - not sure if they even approached him. Or rather, I think they turned him down?

Maureen is poison. Not difficult to see why they went with Moyes, but it will be interesting to see if they have the guts to stick with him through this.

I think Mourinho was looking to settle down this time around, seems a little bit lower intensity with the bullshit at Chelsea at the moment.

That may be true, but it was impossible for Man U to know. He has a history of leaving clubs in turmoil, and his stay at Real Madrid was no exception.
