True, but Moyes has a history of leaving clubs in sixth place. #zing
Lets all laugh at Man Utd.
Long may it last too!
I do think there is too much pressure on managers these days. Sure, United have lost an FA Cup game. But let's just look for a second - they won their Champions League group comfortably, they're within a few points of 4th place. It's not Fergie dominance, but it's by no means a disaster season. I felt the same about the Spurs manager when he was sacked last month. This is completely different from when many of us were calling for Wenger's head after several seasons of mediocrity.
Football needs to shed this short-termism. That Wenger has been manager at his present club longer than all the other managers combined suggests that there is a serious problem with patiance.
Moyes will get time but he's taken over at an awful time. City are in peak condition while ourselves and Chelsea will only improve in the next couple of years. He needs to compete with that somehow while rebuilding and reshaping the squad. It's next to an impossible task in the short term to repeat the results of Ferguson in the last few years.

This is why I think Man Utd's reign of terror is over for now. Arsenal, Chelsea and City have significantly improved over the summer and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, while Utd have gone backwards; they will go the way of Liverpool if they miss out on the CL while losing van Persie and Rooney in the process. Moyes isn't that great of a manager either and I think he'll end up being sacked sooner rather than later. How can a team go from Champions to potentially not even making 4th?
The 'stature' of the Carling Cup won't save Man United/Moyes getting slammed. All eyes on them this week with no other mid week games.
Hahahaha
I'd give a few bob to hear what that little boy inside RVP is saying now...
I wonder if he does regret his move at all.
Probably regrets not going to City instead. I doubt he regrets leaving us, though.
I wouldn't like to second guess what goes on in the mind of Van Persie, but I'm convinced he'd be having a great time playing in (and captaining) our current team.
Every dynasty comes to an end, united have have 20 odd years of dominion and will have to buy there way back like liverpool tried in the 90s.
Whether it works or not is another matter, but they look shot with that scots clown in charge.

True and just look at how they have spent in the last two windows...
42 million combined for Wilfried Zaha and Maruoane Fellaini
Like music to my ears
I think it's weird that Zaha can't even make the bench most of the time. I only watched him two or three times before he made the switch to United, but it was obvious that he isn't a poor footballer.
Attitude problems? I think there were rumours he was unprofessional, late to training etc.
What kind of 20 year old professional footballer gets signed from crystal palace by united and then turns up late to training? Just sounds too silly.
You'd have to make quite the effort to look unprofessional in that company too. Rooney openly voiced dissatisfaction with Moyes and spent the summer trying to engineer a move. Ferdinand criticises team selection on Twitter. van Persie threatens to hand in a transfer request after a couple of months of poor results. The entire club is a bit of a joke at the moment.

Indeed. Wonder if he's still happy with the "direction of the club."
Loving seeing some of the moaning of fans I know on Facebook, as if it's the end of the world. They seem to have forgotten they have been able to enjoy winning the league almost every season in their lifetimes so far.
It's a bit of a wonderful joke at the moment.
Remember that smuggy Facebook message?
"Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I donβt want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward.
Crawler.
Ahh.....What goes around...
