Have you read the official Liverpool statement? It's completely embarassing and makes sure to go into the whole "his grandad's black!" "he has black friends!" line of reasoning. It's prettty cringeworthy.

For me, the reputation that has been damaged through all of this is LFC rather than Suarez. What a completely unproffesional club with a small time mentality. Many things at Arsenal can frustrate me, but thank god we would never be so completely unproffesional in our response to something like this.

Can you imagine Wenger or Fergie sporting a cheap T-shirt like that? 😆

See, I actually think that if all he did was use the term "negrito" once or twice, while Evra called him "sudaco" or whatever it was, he and Liverpool have every right to appeal and try to get to the bottom of it. It's the way Dalglish and Liverpool have gone about it all that I find so classless. The English football media love a foreign scapegoat or hate figure. And as easy as it is to dislike someone like Suarez, I do think the FA are trying to make an example of him and are probably under extra pressure after all the outrage at Blatter in England. My amusement at the situation is pretty much squarely directed at LFC and Dalglish.
