Rex. Talk to me.

😆 I´ll stand by what I said. It was both you and Tim btw being adamant today meant nothing. A poor, but well organized, England managed to beat a lethargic Spain.

Tbh, I didn´t think England had it in them! Respect. In the long run this will only be worse for you though. From tomorrow England will have already pretty much won the Euros. The actual tournament will be a mere formality. in England that is.

In reality you can fluke your way to a win against a much superior opponent, but not in several matches. There are at least 3 teams in the Euros way better than England, and another 3 about as good. Exception to that rule is Greece, and I doubt I will live to see a repeat of that.

Spain weren't lethargic. They were fouling and cheating away as they do.

Again if anything the media here are giving us no chance. It makes a refreshing change

HAHAHAHA Rodrigo Borgia, King Phillip 11 Cortez Cunt faced Puyol LaPorta UNICEF Tikky & Tacky Generalissimo Franco Manuel Almunia and slimy rat Fabregas.....Your boys took quite a beating.

😆

Thought you'd be happy with that result alright Biggus.

Pity it wasn't a knock out game.

Indeed.
They really were not expecting defeat.

I love how Spain bring out these emotions in gooners.

Spain are hated because of Barca really. And it seems Dula hates Spaniards period. I was impressed by Biggus's observations that he assumed Spain would win the final 1-0 because all their scores in the tournament were 1-0. Hilarious.

It's only one game and in the actual tournament I doubt Spain would lose to England...maybe.

The Spain 08 team was brilliant, it's true. Spain have been the best for 3 or 4 years now.

Germany are next in line. How do Germans do it? They have consistently been good since the 1950s, reaching finals and winning tournaments left, right and centre. Insane.

And they were seen as efficient before but now they are exciting to watch too.

No Tony, Spain are hated because they play cuntish football and have no respect.

Yeah I don't like them either.

I wanted Holland to win the WC.

I'm not criticising anyone. But basically they are a Barca extension. And that must be a huge factor.

I for one hate Spain a whole lot more because of Barcelona. And they are quite boring to watch, especially if they score first.

Difficult to like England though. How can you want a team to win that contains cuntbuckets like Cole and Terry? Not to forget, it also contains that ogre Shrek. He who dived at Old Toilet to end our unbeaten run, remember?

Free money as Capi would say.

Indeed, and it takes some doing to be hated more than England or the USA.

You don't think their talent coming through is brilliant, Tim?

They are brilliant, but I guess the point is that the players coming through are more of the same in terms of the kind of footballer Spain traditionally produces. There's a long line of gifted Spanish midfield playmakers and wingers going back decades; for Thiago and Canales read Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, Valeron, Luis Enrique, Vicente, Bakero, Amor, Guardiola etc .

What they dont produce in spades are genuine world class goal scorers who lead the line and tough centre backs who defend set pieces and deal with physical and/or athletic forwards. Bcause of that I think Villa and Puyol have been THE key players in terms of making them a WINNING team. They're going to really struggle to replace those two imo, more than they will when it comes to replacing any other of their great players.

I miss the days when they were chronic under achievers and failures, the Barca & Real factions constantly at war with each other.

Cesc carries more threat than the rest of the Spanish midfield combined.

he runs towards the goal he's trying to score in, which is a good start. i tend to agree with you, it's the sharp ends of the pitch that matter (assuming you can't be brilliant in all three thirds of the pitch).

I'm indifferent.

He's more Premiership than his colleagues.

But he is hyped up a little bit because he was a gooner for so long.

I mean in 2008 people on A-M were adamant that Cesc made the final pass to Torres for his goal against Germany in the Final when it was clear it was Xavi. People had to watch repeats to ensure it wasn't Cesc.

Don't think he was THE key player in Euro 08 or WC 2010.

Xavi outplayed him.

But he fits in at Barca extremely well and brings his own style. I like it.

Well I like that he brings his own style.

I don't like that he left us.

Fuck Fabregas. He can go to hell with his lookalike teammates David Villa and Xavi.

Just watched the game. England were under pressure throughout, and had Spain had a No. 9 playing down the middle, things could have been different.

I must say though, Parker's work rate is immense. I'm happy for him. The last two and a half years he's put in a shift and only now are people beginning to appreciate his efforts.

I'll repeat. Spain saw a lot of the ball 35 yards from goal but I never felt threatened by them

I'm 73mins into this england game and genuinely, how on earth was Scott Parker man of the match?
