Really? Which are these players who are so much of an upgrade?
The international br.... ZZZzzzz

What's the deal with that? Has he pissed off Fabio or something?
Dunno. He lost his way a couple of seasons ago and Capello has never seemed to fancy him since. Credit where it is due, Mancini has done a wonderful job getting him back focused and playing brilliantly.
Ashley Cole, Ashley Young, Jack Wilshere, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Scott Parker. So our entire left side, our entire central midfield and one of the best forwards in the world.
In a lot of cases tonight wasn't even our reserves. Zamora, Downing, Rodwell and Walker are like, 5th choice, and probably wont even go to the Euro's.
Tbf Rex, if recent predictions are anything to go by, you saying/implying we're gonna do shit at the Euro's means we're just about odds on to win it.
Don't think you should count rooney for the time being. Would, however, mention Cleverly who is bound to get a look in.

I already said that Wilshere and Rooney are upgrades on what you had out there vs Sweden. However, Shrek is suspended throughout the group stages, and it is difficult to predict what kind of form Jack will be in come the summer.
If you think Ashley Cole of 2011 is a significant upgrade on Baines - I´d say you are wrong.
Parker/Lampard is no way a significant upgrade on Jones/Rodwell either.
Steven Gerrard. Have you seen the man play this season?! He is an upgrade on who?!
Ashley Young is a fair shout, BUT, the way Downing played against Sweden he pretty much offers the same.
As for predictions Tim - the last one I made was that Sweden was shit and no way would beat England. Pretty accurate.

You're winding up our foreign friends aren't you, mate?
I'd say he deserves the inaugural OMT Poster of the Year award for it. On the flip side, there could be a few Dunce of the Year awards dished out for those buying into it
I've taken a certain pleasure in winding Rex up this past week too, but if he really thinks those players I listed aren't a step up (or two) from what we had out last night then he's barmy. We'll have 11 good players in our side come the Euro's and more than enough individual talent to do something, but it remains to be seen if they can make it work as a team and if they can collectively get it together mentally.
No Tim, I´ll stick to what I said in my previous post on the matter, and I am not barmy thank you very much. Wilshere and Rooney, possibly Young. That´s pretty much it when it comes to a step up. Out of those, as I said, Rooney might miss the entire England Euros and it still remains to be seen in what shape Jack will be.
You have plenty of players to choose from, but qualitywise the difference is not that big.
Happy christmas rex, top geezer. :-)
Right back at ya Tim. Bit early but what the hell...
Euro 2012 seeding.
Pot 1: Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Netherlands
Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia
Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland
Poland, England, Greece, Ireland, please.
I'm love to see Spain, Germany, Portugal & France rip each other to bits as well.
Spain England Ireland and Denmark please
There are some convoluted rules that mean certain teams can't be drawn together. I don't know what and who they are but I read it somewhere online yesterday.
Of course there are. Uefa is as corrupt as fia back when senna was doing battle with Prost
Corruption is why England haven't won since 66
That must be why Dules. You did win 2 world wars almost singlehandedly though! Or so I have heard.
Yep, don't forget the falklands

You can't have Ireland AND Denmark pick one of Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Klauses lot.
Sweden instead of Denmark. Same thing
