Wouldn't you rather have Walcott (no bias) or Lennon on the right? I don't think either are world class but Downing's been average all his life and has been poor for Liverpool.
Unless I'm missing the joke?
He was decent tonight.
That team, however, is rubbish.
Tht team is mega
Argies losing. This tip tip ta stuff has had its day
All about pace again now

Rex. Talk to me.
Well Dules, I have used those exact words, and a lot worse, about the Sweden team.
Thought Walcott was good tonight. Not because he did anything outstanding, but he did a lot of the things he normally struggles with very well.
Watching Walker tonight, a player I have rated since I first saw him, I genuinely think Jenkinson has a chance of competing for that right back spot in the future. Walker's decent and going to be a very good right back in the future, but I reckon Jenkinson could have more, especially going forward.
Thought Rodwell was atrocious tbh, Capi. Although, he did have a better second half.
Still can't believe we're playing Barry and Jones in midfield - what kind of rubbish is that? Although Jones did play half decent, but in the same way that any other big centrehalf would if you stuck him in midfield and asked his to "put himself about".
Forget walker and jenkinson; Micah Motherfucking Richards!
Rodwell had a really good game for England and so did Walker. He is too good to be a Spud.
Can´t say there is any major difference, if any, between a Jones/Rodwell/Barry pairing compared to a Lampard/Parker/Barry one. All decent players, but nothing special. Lampard was of course a few years ago, but he is well over the hill these days.
Rodwell is pony

What's the deal with that? Has he pissed off Fabio or something?
Best English player on the pitch tonight. Not that that says very much, but still.
Who rodwell? Try walker or downing
I´ll go with Rodwell. Not much in it though. Poor game against a poor Sweden side.
Yep. Though you guys were third top goal scorers in the qualifiers. You didn't trouble our reserves
No big gulf in class between your reserves and your first team though, and that is the point. Rooney, who is suspended for the entire group stage, Wilshere, if fit. That´s about it on clear improvements to what you fielded tonight.
Can´t believe you are doing this to yourself Dules! You are so very typically..... English. Bigging up the England team and squad ahead of a tournament, and then can´t understand why you didn´t do better after the inevitable fact.
The side England had out tonight was, man for man, one of the most mediocre England XI's I've ever seen. Come the Euro's we'll be far better across the board in terms of individual quality, just a case of them coming together as a team.
