Kid is the big success story in Bundesliga so far this season. I've seen him a couple of times and he's always stood out with his technique on the ball for me too. Such a skillful player. There aren't too many like that around.

Anyone reckon Mönchengladbach would rather sell him to us than to Bayern Munich?

this guy is supposed to be shit hot. how many attacking mids can germany fit into a team?!

Got my eye on Hazard, but if that can't happen, then this guy sounds like he could be something special.

Think he'll eventually take over from Podolski.

Loew was talking this week about using Gotze and Ozil as twin central playmakers; could be because Schweinsteiger is out obviously but equally, it could signal a small change in formation heading into the euros.

I have said before that I'm not entirely sure of Reus' true level but he has looked a good player and the type that I like when I have seen him.

I recon we'll sign marco and polo in the January sales lol

Haha, does that mean you've recently had it. Knew it was somewhere around this time. Happy belated birthday anyway! Was your twenty-eleventh weren't it? Or do we whisper things like that now.

Cheers rick. Nah I'm old and proud. You seen lord of the rings right? Those wizards are the just the coolest thing like ev eeeeeer

I want this guy to join us, if we fail to secure Götze.

Only worry is, how well he settles in and which position he'll be playing in.

No, you don't really want Marin, trust me.

Why? Looks ideal for breaking down parked defences

Yeah, two seasons ago.

Since he's joined Werder Bremen, he's stagnated and I'm not that sure about him anymore.
He perhaps needs a new challenge to get going again, but I wouldn't want to take this gamble.

If you want someone who breaks down packed defences, take Götze.

Agreed. Watched Bremen recently in a few matches because I betted on them. He don't really shine, and was even replaced when they were chasing a goal. Showed how ineffective a season he is having.

Reus look really like him though, playing style wise. The talent is there, wouldn't mind having him definitely with gotze

A more recent vid of him

Still amazed by his two-footedness and strength. Must be a nightmare trying to cover this chap.

I've got a good feeling about this transfer... Arshavin out Reus in, in jan or the summer.

Meh, that's Pogatetz above (fellow countryman, former Middlesbrough Skipper) who's had an absolute shocker in that game for Hannover vs Gladbach.

Another good performance from Reus, regardless.

Apparently he's completed the 6th most amount of dribbles in the whole of Europe this season?

Yes please.

Hmmmm not sure on him. Looks effective I guess. He's like Craig Bellamy

He's better than Gervinho, which I'm still annoyed with that signing.

Why? I think Gervinho has been rather good for us. He certainly adds something we didn´t have before.

Not good as in the player the player I would want in the starting line-up. Maybe in the squad but in the starting line up? Definitely not. Makes too many poor decisions, average technically and losses the ball far too often with poor touches and is too inconsistent imo, which is what he was like at lille and now here at the club.

I've never rated Nasri. Don't understand your point tbh.

Point is, he suits our game better than Nasri has, therefore I'm content with him and don't think we can do much better there at the moment.

Not much better? Going to have to disagree there, even when we had Nasri in the starting line-up I've mentioned we need a quality wf, especially when cesc left. Gervinho to me is not a quality wf, too inconsistent and makes too many poor decisions etc which is why I'm not happy with him in the starting line-up.

He's pacey, direct, a good crosser and takes his man on.
Everything I'd want from a winger.
Of course he has his faults (dodgy first touch), but overall I've been happy with him.

i see gervinho as being more useful in the league than nasri was for us (only going on nasri's actual past performances, not his current or future potential), whereas nasri would be more useful in big games, CL, etc., where we need top quality to get us goals.

gervinho's more of a flat track bully due to his quickness and pace, but at least he's bullying somebody. aside from a 3 month stretch, nasri didnt actually do anything. they're very different players, though.

Of course they're different players, but they're playing in the same position here, thus a comparison is justified.

I've seen him left and right but he plays through the middle sometimes apparently.

Looks to be playing up front in this "every touch" comp:

Don't normally really want a player based on hearsay and youtube but i like this guy. Get him in to replace Arshavin please!

Aye, he looks top drawer in that video.

If the 18 million euro buy-out clause exists then I'd expect us to move for him. Based on that video it looks like he could deputise for Robin too.

The time and space available in that last video is crazy.

Looks a good prospect to me, but, I'm with Dula, not sure he's a lot more than that.

6 days later

Scored a hat-trick today, played as a striker rather than a winger.
Looks like a really good player, great ball control and good finish with both feet. His first goal was excellent (couldn't find a youtube video of it)

the defending was pretty bad. this guy's an interesting player, though.

Yep interesting, but I recon he lacks the power and guile needed to kill it in the premier league. Perhaps that would come

I'm with you on that. I like the look of him, but not sure he'd be a superstar for us. Still could be a smart signing, though. If the price is right.

This lad is off to Bayern apparently. 18 million euro buy out and the kid wants to go Bayern.

Would be funny if Bayern and Real concentrated on Reus and Hazard and let us snap up the best player of the 3 in Goetze.

Not that i'm holding my breath.
