    interesting

You can bring up a stat to show anything, for example:

Cesc's best haul in a season: 19 goals and 15 assists

    Ozil's: 7 goals and 24 assists

So Cesc contributed 34 goals and Ozil contributed 31. What does this show?

Havent seen Ozil do anything to suggest hes anywhere near Cesc level for us, strikes me as a passenger who wont roll his sleeves up and take control of a game

I think you're forgetting just how many time Cesc went missing for us as an AM.

  • £30m spent on Fabregas is £30m that can't be spent on actually addressing our short comings of last season. Instead, signing him worsens our problems. It means we have to shift the superior player outwide to accommodate him, when a huge problem last season was a lack of pace and runners from the wide areas.

We only have a finite amount of money and signing a DM, a striker and replacing the outgoings is far more important at this stage. Wenger has to distance himself from the sentimentality and see the big picture. We can't sign Cesc because a few people will get their feelings hurt when he signs for Chelsea.

Having said that, seeing him in a Chelsea shirt wouldn't be pleasant. Him staying at Barca seems unlikely at this point so hopefully PSG come in for him and offer ridiculous wages.

  • Balotelli would be a dream. Haven't seen such composure and ability in front of goal from someone his age since Henry.

  • Flamini is no where near Arteta in any aspect of football. You'd say tackling is Flamini's biggest strength and Arteta's worst attribute, yet Arteta is still better at that.

  • All we need is to string three wins together on the bounce, get a bit of momentum. That could quite probably see us into the CL places. Strengthen in January and kick on from there.

Sacking Wenger at this stage would be just about the worst thing that we could do.

    Why romeu?

We need another able body in midfield, but I think we should use the bulk of what we spend right now in the forward line. Romeu on loan would be a good move for all involved parties.

How would it be good for Chelsea? They'd be left with 3 midfielders, one of which a 34 year old. Not to mention they'd be strengthening their rivals.

  • Chamakh? Wenger took an average player with a poor scoring record and made him look world class for the period RVP was out. If anything, Wenger made him a better player than he was.

As for Arshavin, you can't pin his demise on Wenger. Unfortunately his style wasn't suited to the PL.

And Hleb wasn't a crap player either - certainly not significantly better after he joined us anyway.

And where's a the list of decent players he's made look crap?

What players has Wenger made look crap? :\

  • What's the point in buying any striker, or having one at all, if they're going to get the service that Giroud got?

Yesterday we were seriously off our game, but normally we create sufficient chances. Llorente would score goals here.

  • Llorente, Cabaye

    -----------------Szczesny
    Sagna Mertesacker Kos/Verm Gibbs
    ---------------Arteta Cabaye
    -------Cazorla Wilshere Podolski
    ------------------Llorente

  • Either play Gervinho up front or don't play him at all. Pointless having a winger that can't cross.

  • I'm really looking forward to the next episode, I want to see how Jesse reacts to what Walt did. I bet he has another breakdown.

  • The Al Jazeera stuff looks like bullshit to me. Can't find anything on their website about it.

  • AS in Spain saying Sahin is on his way to England to sign a year long loan with a PL club. Possibly Arsenal?

  • Pellegrini said this earlier, speaking to the press: "Selling him [Cazorla] for 20m would be a giveaway."

  • '@AFCAMDEN', I believe. Same guy who got the Bould and Niang news before anyone else.

  • I'm not saying Wenger's lying awake thinking about how rumours start. His 'working that out' comment would clearly be a throw away statement. It's not exactly like Wenger to comment on a deal in progress and say we're working on it, either, now is it?
