"Yes. Jens Lehmann gave him a tip to watch Marco. Then Arsene called me," the Swiss coach told Bild.

However, Favre has not lost hope that he can keep the Germany international at Borussia-Park beyond the end of the current season.

"I know Arsene very well and told him the truth: Marco is a very, very interesting player. But I am coach of Borussia and want to keep him."

Good player. Very quick on the ball and genuinely two-footed.

more likely to sign him than gotze. havent seen enough of monchengladbach this season, but the germans seem to rate him very highly

Wow. That's a convincing set of highlights. Will have to watch a few of his games.

3:36 made me laugh

The boy commits his entire being - flesh, bone and soul - into his shots. I wouldn't want to be an opposing goalie

Suspect that alot of our signings will come from Germany for a while. Usually the fees aren't extortionate and they mostly don't have ridiculous wages so many players will fall inside of our price bracket. Seems that this new generation aren't adverse to moving abroad either.

Where does he play?

I've seen him left and right but he plays through the middle sometimes apparently.

And soon he'll have red hair!

Ljungberg 2?

He's quick with the ball at his feet. Looks ljungberg like

Does seem to have a certain Ljungberg vibe about him.

Isn't it your birthday soon mate?

Not for ages rick!

I recon we'll sign marco and polo in the January sales lol

i'd love that honestly

Haha, does that mean you've recently had it. Knew it was somewhere around this time. Happy belated birthday anyway! Was your twenty-eleventh weren't it? Or do we whisper things like that now.

Nov. 06 as my memory serves.

Reus is Rosicky fast before he got a flat tyre. Despite that comp, his finishing is only decent but he has two great feet, goes inside and out and can score goals. He's like a Hleb that isn't afraid to shoot; maybe more tenacious as well.

with technique like that, if he's not afraid of shooting then i'm sure his finishing will get better.

Kid is the big success story in Bundesliga so far this season. I've seen him a couple of times and he's always stood out with his technique on the ball for me too. Such a skillful player. There aren't too many like that around.

Anyone reckon Mönchengladbach would rather sell him to us than to Bayern Munich?

this guy is supposed to be shit hot. how many attacking mids can germany fit into a team?!

Got my eye on Hazard, but if that can't happen, then this guy sounds like he could be something special.

Think he'll eventually take over from Podolski.

Loew was talking this week about using Gotze and Ozil as twin central playmakers; could be because Schweinsteiger is out obviously but equally, it could signal a small change in formation heading into the euros.

I have said before that I'm not entirely sure of Reus' true level but he has looked a good player and the type that I like when I have seen him.

Cheers rick. Nah I'm old and proud. You seen lord of the rings right? Those wizards are the just the coolest thing like ev eeeeeer

I want this guy to join us, if we fail to secure Götze.

Only worry is, how well he settles in and which position he'll be playing in.

No, you don't really want Marin, trust me.

Why? Looks ideal for breaking down parked defences

Yeah, two seasons ago.

Since he's joined Werder Bremen, he's stagnated and I'm not that sure about him anymore.
He perhaps needs a new challenge to get going again, but I wouldn't want to take this gamble.

If you want someone who breaks down packed defences, take Götze.

Agreed. Watched Bremen recently in a few matches because I betted on them. He don't really shine, and was even replaced when they were chasing a goal. Showed how ineffective a season he is having.

Reus look really like him though, playing style wise. The talent is there, wouldn't mind having him definitely with gotze

A more recent vid of him

Still amazed by his two-footedness and strength. Must be a nightmare trying to cover this chap.

I've got a good feeling about this transfer... Arshavin out Reus in, in jan or the summer.

Meh, that's Pogatetz above (fellow countryman, former Middlesbrough Skipper) who's had an absolute shocker in that game for Hannover vs Gladbach.

Another good performance from Reus, regardless.

Apparently he's completed the 6th most amount of dribbles in the whole of Europe this season?

Yes please.

Hmmmm not sure on him. Looks effective I guess. He's like Craig Bellamy

He's better than Gervinho, which I'm still annoyed with that signing.
