😆 Classic Tony, lots of people are bi or even multi lingual, why wouldn't Dein, a very cultivated man not speak French.

Don't think they've realised how important per has been in reinstalling mature and team spirit into the squad, and in covering whilst we are stretched defensively.

They also seem blissfully unaware that koscielny has now become a man god and will be vermaelens partner when all are fit.

I was thinking of starting a thread the other day about the media's perception on Big Mert. Seems totally out of sync with his performances. He's no world beater, but he's done a more than solid job for us.

I was watching the MOTD highlights of the Aston Villa game, and when we conceded the goal the commentator immediately starts talking about Per's mistake. No mention of Vermaelen even though Vermaelen himself sees it as his mistake.

When it comes to football media and fans, once they've made up their mind about someone, it takes forever for them to change it.

Most non-Arsenal fans haven't got a clue about how good Koscielny is for example.

It's weird, isn't it. I get the feeling that fans of other teams don't really rate Koscielny either despite the season he's having.

Anyway, Mertesacker is better than anyone Spurs have. It'll show in the table too when everything has been said and done.

yeah when they have an agenda everything is dedicated to trying to support that opinion. yossi didn't say that goal was for per, he told verm it was for him for a reason.

and i could care less what spurs fans say about our players. i imagine everyone of them bar van persie (even those asshats have to give him his due) are shit and wouldn't get in their squad. best start in the color tv era have them feeling themselves a little bit too much.
