Agree starting players should have been the priority, but considering Gyökeres seems to end up being cheaper than we could have hoped for, and the excellent structure of the Zubimendi deal, we might not have to worry about the money. Eze himself will most likely move for much less than his release clause too because Palace need the money. If they wait another year he'll be deemed too old and the market will be gone, as they've found out with Mateta.
I think registering non-homegrown players is the big issue. We'll have to find a couple of sales or loans for the squad fillers, but I think we will. I'm quietly confident that we're going to pick up Eze towards the end of the window, and since he's English and already has so much Premier League experience it won't be a big problem to arrive late.
