I think because Mosquera can play both sides we'd be ok with Gabriel, Saliba, Mosquera with Cala, White, Timber also able to play there only issue is their fitness which makes Kiwior a bit of a security blanket. TBH we could probably play Norgaard CB too as Zubi is undroppable already in Arteta's mind I'm sure.

This guy looks a real bargain but he's 21 and I wouldn't like to expect too much too soon from him. Playing in the centre of defence is largely about consistency and its very hard to land in the PL at 21 and have that. If we can keep Kiwior for another year and let Mosquera settle in that'd be ideal. Then cash in on Kiwi next summer.

QuincyAbeyie i wouldn’t say that but im yet to be fully convinced. He missed the key moments of last season, moments where his oafishness showed itself in prior seasons. Looks like he’s got that under control now but need to see it in high pressure situations.

Kiwior though was absolutely awesome against Madrid and PSG 👍👍👍

lorddulaarsenal yeah, I wasn't fully sold on Gab prior to January 2024. From then on though, he became incredible.

Kiwior is nice on the ball, but I dunno, he still doesn't command the box very well.

well i already sung his praises in pre-season so your take isn't unique. i was commenting on the post about how they didn't miss saliba and mosquera is a proper contender. look if mosquera is good enough to bench saliba as we know him (and not some hypothetical bum version) then you don't bench saliba, you go 3 at the back and build around the 3 greatest central defenders in the world. people just need to relax, these same people would turn on him after a bad game.

I haven't seen Valencia in a while but it's absolutely insane to me that this guy was there to be had for a few million.

It's not like a young lad coming in and getting a pat on the back for not looking out of his depth either; he looks good enough to start right now for most of the teams in the upper half of the PL table.
