I don't think that's clear. From what I've seen of his comments past couple of seasons, Thierry's been consistent—he praises what Arteta's achieved but says a major trophy should be expected by now.
That's what most fans think? It's what I think.
And then of course Thierry amps up the tension a smidgen because hey, he's working in media, and he has to act like he respects Jamie Carragher for a living.
There are a few more negative variations out there:
Arteta doesn't deserve praise and never will, he never should've been backed this far, we've spent a kajillion quid on an empty cabinet and man hasn't paid his dues. [Name of Legendary Unavailable Manager] would already have won four league titles with this bankroll.
I'm going to insinuate Arteta should already have been sacked, even though I don't call for it openly or with any conviction.
I don't like Arteta, I don't like his Lego™ barnet, I don't like his ugly bitch mum, it's obvious [Name of Crucial Player] hates him, Salt Bae joke …
I don't think Henry is near any of those.
