Arteta has taken this team and made them into one of the best sides in Europe. He needs to take it a step further and win big trophies but you can't convince me we aren't headed in that direction. Sky Sports News has become a gossip news channel and have got an absolute nobody in Jamie O'Hara to give his opinion, what would he know about dealing with top players?

I don't know if these things Arteta tries make any difference but I ain't gonna knock a guy for trying something. He is dealing with players at the very elite end, any marginal gain should be pursued. The players all like him, all fight for him so he will understand better than most how to get the best out of them and how to try to push them further.

and jamie o'hara, i don't understand how he has a job in media. he doesn't have a voice or face for it. he wasn't a good player and he didn't play for a great club. he beat his partner in front of their kid. it's baffling that anyone wants his opinion on anything.

Thanks for the recap. The Emery era was unfortunate and unfair to the Spaniard. He had absolutely zero chance of turning things around with basically no support from management. The press also did him no favors, and he fell into the same trap Ruben Amorim has found himself now of being wedded to a system/tactics without the right players to execute, overpaid superstars he wasn't able to quickly get rid of, plus a soft, wobbly center. David Luiz. I shudder just thinking about it again.

Glad that shit is over. Happy for Emery that he found his level eventually, and hope we can also find our level at the very top of the pile with Arteta soon.

He has to win the title or CL for this to even be a discussion. Let’s stay humble and not get carried away after a decent 4 weeks. We need to learn from the past. Take it game by game, keep grinding out wins and then see at the end of the season where we are and who is the best. If he really is the best manager in the world the proof will be in the pudding.

We are one of the best coached sides in the world, which makes him one of the best managers in the world, trophies or not. We don’t have a Salah or Haaland ( which falls on our DoF) and yet here we are competing with their clubs without having a 30 goals a season attacker.

Meatwad I saw Robert Pires at an airport once and the bloke was absolutely massive, he could barely get through the metal detector. I never understood how big he was up until that point. He always looked shorter and leaner compared to Henry, Vieira and Sol in the match day lineups, but it was because the rest of them were built like brick shithouses.
