We struggle massively when we concede the first goal and go behind.

naz Part of that is down to our attacking play but partly down to teams sitting deep making it difficult for us.

We simply don’t have enough attacking options. We desperately need to bring another wide player in at minimum.

We need a striker and LW. Our current options are good bench players.

naz exactly. Havertz and Martinelli are good but we need a level above to be the main guys with them rotating in and coming off the bench. Trossards been good but he's not a guy you keep into his 30s. Jesus is just a disaster.

naz last season our defensive structure and pressing was way above expectation. now that's reverted to the mean, these othet nasty flaws that were always lurking in our game have become much more damaging

Merino did pretty well when he came on but I never really believed it would change the game. Ode wasn’t having a great game, but we should have put Ethan down the left or even and maybe switch Ode sides to give him a new perspective.

We definitely don’t mix things up enough or early enough.

So our issues from last season are still there, and we added some defensive issues. Not good enough to win the title. Maybe we can get a cup

Another thing is we had a lot of injuries going into this game. White, Tomi, Gabriel, Calafiori & Zinchenko all missed the game, it’s hard to compensate for that.

Once we get them back we’ll do a lot better but we need to fucking get out act together.

naz They are one Salah injury away from collapse but we need to focus on ourselves first. If we finish the season like we did last year I think we’ll catch them.

One more thing that's quite funny is that we know we score a huge part of our goals from set pieces and penalties these days, yet we didn't force any corner after 55th min or something. Stupid as hell.

Even if we had won, we are nowhere near dominant for that match. It was all sterile possession

And so annoying because of us they now keep having xGs without set pieces. I guess it shows how toothless we are though in open play
