The fact that Brighton supposedly feel now is the right time to cash in on him is a warning sign in and of itself.

Counting down the days when this shitty window shuts. Most annoying window of recent times. Don’t expect anything to happen outside of the Norwegian kid.
Don Pacifico True but Brighton also have invested a fair bit in different strikers so might need the money. They've not really sold any players for big money either since Caicedo as far as I can remember and their whole business model is built around these big sales.
Loan with option would be ideal, can properly assess the player. But on a permanent would be a big gamble, need to do quite a thorough medical to make sure there are no underlying issues. Sometimes players just get unlucky.

That's my point - the fact they think now is a good time to sell suggests they think his stock won't get higher than it is now.
I just feel like what's the point of going for Ferguson if we are likely in a good spot to get Sesko this summer. Ferguson may cost a little less and is a little over a year younger but also doesn't seem to have the physical traits that Sesko has, nor the production over a sustained period of time. I'd rather be going after a different profile if we feel like we are going to come back for Sesko in the summer.
He's the flavor of the week for me but I don't see why we aren't testing Bayern's resolve for Mathys Tel. Tall, fast, and a good finisher who has looked good whenever he's played for them, but doesn't have a ton of playing time at the moment. He's the type of opportunistic signing that I think is made for the January window, even if we would have to pay a little more for what he is projected to be, as opposed to his current level. I'd be up for taking a gamble on a player like him at a higher price than an injury prone Ferguson personally. I hope we are at least asking about him.
You will be filled with regret when Ferguson is playing cards in physio with Jesus, Timber and Rosicky while Seskso is scoring big goals for one of our rivals next season. Would rather hold.
Come on substitute Edu…
I can Tel you like him Claude
You can read his Tel? Poor poker face.
Would Tel solve anything for us? I don't see how it'll help us close out the season. He's another longer term project
Has played 6 games since May 2024. Under 40 games since 2022, yeah this will work out great for all.
I don't see Tel having any impact on the team this season. Could be worth a move in summer for the right price but he wouldn't be e displacing Martinelli any time soon.

Qwiss at this stage we just need bodies
Qwiss Maybe he wouldn't have a massive impact but just having that kind of pace and fresh legs up top will massively take the pressure off our other players. We would be able to do that without a massive drop off in quality.
He is a good player though, not sure what has happened at Bayern for him but he can also play out wide which is a bonus.
Sounds like we are pushing either for a permanent deal or an option to buy.
Claudius Unfortunately this forum doesn't have a dislike feature
Gazza M Interesting, Gravenberch is one who left and seems to have found his feet. Tel is up against stiff competition at Bayern as well, they were well stacked across their front line. Went onto the Bayern forum on reddit and a few there complaining that Coman, and Gnabry getting starts over him. A lot of fans not happy about him leaving which is only a positive!
