Claudius Watkins just turned 29 and 4 years ago was playing in the championship. He’s hardly a vet.
Rashford to Villa could work in our favour
Claudius We definitely aren't losing Jesus at the end of the year because he's wrecked his ACL. No point selling Trossard either because we won't get a fee to speak of and he's still useful. We sign Watkins, I'm quite certain he'll be an overpaid bench option at best by the time he's 31, he'll go the way of Jesus. I'm against it. I don't think it's a move that'll bring us silverware.
Such a bantz chump club
Villa acting like a big club.
If we were signing Asensio, I'd think we were acting like a small club.
Sicario2 - Tier 1 they are a big club.
We are so lame in transfer windows. Pathetic.
I bet we end up signing Watkins and taking Tel on loan. Which would be a great way to end this window.
Watkins should happen. It will be a bit steep of a price, but it’s doable, and options are limited. We won’t go for Tel. He is unlikely to get significant minutes if we get Ollie
Watkins starts for Villa tonight which is not a good sign.
We will sign no one on Monday and wait for my thread on it.

QuincyAbeyie well yeah because we can attract bigger names, but he means as a way of operating. They lost an important player, even if he was just a back up, so they went straight out and got 2 good players in to help the team in the push for top 4 and the for the CL games. 2 players, that are, let's be real, big names for Aston Villa.
We needed a striker and a winger in the summer, and we fucked about. Then shit hit the fan, January came around, and here we are 2 days before deadline day, fucking about.
Remember when all the pundits were doing hours long jerk off sessions about how good this guy? I remember.
is this the kid we wanted a few years ago?

Sicario2 - Tier 1 “The Project Is Really Over”?
Saudi teams creating chaos ahead of club World Cup. Annoying. They’ll be even worse in 4 years time.
Us v Utd for Tel

shocking lol. Atletico made a huge mistake when they signed him, then a bunch of other clubs just doubled down on that mistake...the guy is shit, nothing will change that.
jones you need to lean in. If you want to finish 5th, you don't take risks. you do the ordinary. i think Calafiori can go both ways. On the one hand, he might end up an injury issue like Jesus or Tomi. Both of these are fantastic players - but what good are you if you don't show up. On the other hand, his ability to drive at teams, his confidence in the final third could turn him into a star. If he's healthy, I expect him to play a prominent role in the Champs League knockouts
HomeSteak the way Villa is moving makes me think the striker transfer is still open to us. The only possily available striker who will be better than Watkins over the next 18 months is Isak. If we have 80% confidence we are getting Isak, we should stay away from Watkins. If we don't have certainty over an Isak move, we must take Watkins now.
IF Watkins is actually available to us, not taking Watkins now so we can wait 6 months for a kid like Sesko still leaves us short another top forward who can contribute big numbers immediately. Because I would be surprised if Sesko unseated Harvertz immediately
