It's a catch 22 man. A box striker has the same issues Haaland did today. He had 6 touches all game and completed one pass. You can say he scored, but we need a striker who can also play, and playing means going outside of the box. Otherwise, you are essentially carrying a striker who is doing nothing unless the ball is fed to them in the box.
daredevil I think Haaland is ridiculously good as can be seen by the records he broke today. But I don’t think Pep plays his best possible football with him. Pep is at his best with lots of incisive movement. And a stationary brute breaks up that zigging and zagging. And makes it harder to fashion chances. They looked so sterile today. Foden. lol

We must get the right person or we don't waste money. It is an easy temptation to just buy someone for the sake of it but it has to be the right player.
It would not be good to get in an expensive player that turned out to be critically flawed/limited.
If we don't get anyone in, we better have something really big lined up for the summer though.
JazzG we need a body. Kai is a single point of failure. If we get a loan then it’s minimal risk and has nothing to do with our summer plans.

I had made peace with us not signing anyone, wasn't happy about it but I thought I'd rather us not sign anyone than act like a poorly run club and make panic signings just for the sake of it.
