Our final ball has been woeful, and our off the ball play is pretty poor as well, which that goal highlighted. Rice needs to answer for quite a bit of that.

It’s a cowardly performance on and off the ball.

Genuinely maddening how we’re just playing the safe pass again and again. We’ve finally found the balls to play the ball to Merino in the pockets late in that half and it led to good situations.

The press has been appalling too. Really miss Martin setting the tempo on that front.

Need Partey in midfield at the start of the second half. Also need Nwaneri on

Claudius I like defenders fine but we have enough. The fact Kiwior is on the bench is testament to that. The manager needs to use the defenders he has before buying more.

They scored a decent goal. The thing is we let Gordan have a load of time and space wide and Isak get free in the box. Saka and Martinelli aren't getting the freedom to play crosses under no pressure and Havertz isn't getting that space in the box. Its a nice goal from their perspective but its a very stoppable one from ours.
