We’re poor, uninspired and have been for a while now. That’s on the manager who only buys defenders, doesn’t play to his players’ strengths has no faith in youth. Something has to change because this season is petering out already.

Lukazan Trossard is a forward. He is being asked to play a role that is completely wrong for him (though I still can’t figure out what that role is).

Very few things in football make me more mad then strikers that are never in the box. We have 2 of them. Every time I see Havertz in the midfield or on the left wing makes me scream

By running into dead ends. Our final ball has been woeful, and our off the ball play is pretty poor as well, which that goal highlighted. Rice needs to answer for quite a bit of that.

Genuinely maddening how we’re just playing the safe pass again and again. We’ve finally found the balls to play the ball to Merino in the pockets late in that half and it led to good situations.
The press has been appalling too. Really miss Martin setting the tempo on that front.
Need Partey in midfield at the start of the second half. Also need Nwaneri on
Between Merino and Trossard, there is opportunity to be a bit more direct in that area of the field.

I know @Qwiss hates defenders, but there could be value in putting one more on here. Trossard off for Kiwior, send Timber right and move Partey central.
Claudius I like defenders fine but we have enough. The fact Kiwior is on the bench is testament to that. The manager needs to use the defenders he has before buying more.
