Not sure is tongue in cheek.... But... 18 is not quite a child, but not quite a man either.

They appointed a Liverpool fan to ref our game v City

If anything, I think they will all be too anxious to do anything overly dramatic.
Only issue is that it might allow animals like Kovacic license to do some gangster shit

RocktheCasbah I think they know they are being watched and under scrutiny so you'd think/hope they'd wait a while before they can screw us over. But you never know with this lot.

This guy wished he never wrote this article. Doesn’t know what backlash he will get from Arsenal Twitter who are a force to be reckoned with:

They can't hide from their past.

This one is about rules in general: I think the handball rule as currently written is unfairly biased in favor of defenders. Gives them the benefit of doubt that is not afforded to strikers.

If a ball accidentally hits a defender whilst he or she is defending in his/her box, it should 100% be a penalty. Regardless of context, regardless of where the arms were located. Up or down or behind the back. Matters not.

For me that's the equivalent of what is currently going on with handball as pertains to strikers in the box.

flobaba If a ball accidentally hits a defender whilst he or she is defending in his/her box, it should 100% be a penalty. Regardless of context, regardless of where the arms were located. Up or down or behind the back. Matters not.

No way that would be terrible. The CL is much better on hand ball than the PL because it isn't overly strict. Players shouldn't be punished for having arms.

Qwiss I think it could work if goals were ever so slightly devalued by changing offside to the daylight model. I mean, it's not punishing people for having arms, it's punishing them for failing to play the ball fairly.

Arm rule on goals is so stupid. Fabs watch the game for goals. Goals are so hard to come by. What do we do? Add an arbitrary rule that makes goals even harder to get?!!

Gary Neville has now been given the go ahead to get involved.

I regret that Vieira and Keown never throttled this guy and put him out of the football landscape permanently.

Why does anyone care what Gary Neville thinks? He showed us at Valencia what he knows about football.

His best mate Roy Keane doesn't even take him seriously.

Claudius He has tried to hide it but sometimes the mask slips, he still hates us. Keane has spoken about this before but they absolutely hated us. He thought out ceiling was top 4, he thought Arteta's ceiling was that. They can't stand the fact they are sitting on tv while he manages a top club. That isn't through choice, like @Qwiss says that is due to him being fucking shit as a coach.

Neville mentions that Michael Oliver has been taken off the Arsenal vs Man City game, supposedly refs aren't allowed to referee the same team in consecutive matches so he wouldn't have done this match anyway....

JazzG yeah, there is so much unnecessary communication around this. the threats against Michael Oliver, some of which precede our game. Saying he wouldn't referee a game that he is not eligible for anyway. It's all very dishonest.

Qwiss they do themselves a disservice. They look fucking insane. What’s crazier is equally insane people like Gary Neville will eat this up.

JazzG sigh - they're going to continue to fuck us over aren't they?

Every passing day, it’s harder to act like officials don’t have a bitterness towards our organisation. We’ve dealt with shit since Wenger. Don’t know what it was like under Graham. But this isn’t new.

What’s crazy is you’d think they’d look at the Haaland-Gabriel-MLS relationship and love it. This is mostly good fun. It’s annoying as a fan when you’re on the receiving end, but it’s blockbuster TV. The Klopp-Pep rivalry was a tea and crumpets affair with no adrenaline. This is full blooded stuff like Wenger-Ferguson or Mourinho-Benitez

Again. They go after silly things like this while the Butcher and Guimaraes are free to attempt amputations on a weekly basis.

JazzG this is the best thing about Vardy. His mocking celebrations are amazing. When he pretended to be an eagle against Crystal Palace it was so funny.

God what a joke 😂😂😂 how can they be so precious? I'm sure Haaland really doesn't give a shit. Can't even celebrate goals anymore. I like the Zen celebration had no idea Haaland had a copyright over it and no one else is allowed to do it 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Haaland was laughing when Gabriel was shouting at him, he probably loves this shit. Top players thrive from rivalries.

                          Claudius

I loved this whole episode. From Haaland chucking it to Arteta, Gabriel and MLS, to MLS and Gabriel getting payback. It was a great subplot to a growing rivalry. The whole humble thing is one of the best plots I've seen since Kepa refused to come off for Sarri.
