The season before we played 4 games in the league cup, Saka played all 4
The season before that 2 in 2.
You get my point. In fact, in 14 games in the league cup under Arteta, Saka played in 11 of them, and for one of them he was injured lol.

Whenever we played a much weaker team in the League Cup he got rested. The thing is we kept getting draws like Leicester, Pool, Brighton, West Ham...

goon he was asked if any of the injuries are serious, and he said: "we have to wait, one of them".
But he said that Odegaard is a matter of weeks, and even if he "might surprise us" it will "probably be after the international break". So that is great news really. By first reports I was expecting him back in the middle of November.
That would mean 2 more PL games with no Merino and Odegaard, both at home, vs Leicester and Sotton.
