Shame about the injured players, would have allowed us to rotate more...maybe Zinchenko will be back? If so we can rest Gabriel as well, and just play Califiori as a CB.
Rice has a good engine and needs to get into some form, so I would play him, no way Partey can play this much without getting injured. Good game to start Sterling. Martinelli needs a goal so I would play him here.
Timber and White need to sit this one out, but who do we play there?

Whenever we played a much weaker team in the League Cup he got rested. The thing is we kept getting draws like Leicester, Pool, Brighton, West Ham...

Martinelli died on the field on Sunday.
When we lost Trossard, Saka is the first man who was taken off because he is our weakest frontline defender. Arteta knew that our forwards would have to suffer and Saka would be a weak link. He started these last 3 away games and was one of our most active players throughout.
So I think Saka comes back. Martinelli sits.

Claudius Think that's right, and Marti is also the bigger threat on the counter. You could see a couple of times Rice got the ball back and was trying to release him, but in fairness Walker, he was on it most of the times

We've got too many squad players injured and our first teamers haven't had enough time to recover since Sun.

I'm in favour of the Sterling, Jesus, Martinelli/Saka front three - our best bet is to shock and awe Bolton in the first half so we can take it easy in the 2nd and bring through some kids.

goon he was asked if any of the injuries are serious, and he said: "we have to wait, one of them".
But he said that Odegaard is a matter of weeks, and even if he "might surprise us" it will "probably be after the international break". So that is great news really. By first reports I was expecting him back in the middle of November.
That would mean 2 more PL games with no Merino and Odegaard, both at home, vs Leicester and Sotton.
