Clrnc but it's such a bullshit stat, because it's not "at this stage or later", it's just "at this exact stage of the season". Liverpool had a bigger lead in 18/19 and then lost, but because they had that lead in January it doesn't count for this "stat."

Pretty sure Newcastle lost it from further ahead in the 90s.

I don't think Liverpool are untouchable just because they're 9 points out, them beating Southampton is hardly gonna change that.
