This is a bloody outrage , what Webb is saying. Because he must understand that in big games, most of all, is where calls MUST be made correctly. And the best of the lot is so obviously not an impartial judge but an aspiring Hollywood movie director, and you begin to feel we’re not merely competing against the opposition players on the field alone.
The number of potentially season ending tackles our players are consistently on the receiving end of is ridiculous. And we’d have Saka/ Martinelli writhing in pain and the perp would not even get a talking to by the refs if we happen to be so lucky to get a free kick for the foul.
If I was Arteta I would not let a single press conference go by every week, where I don’t highlight this bull shit until we start getting some reprieve. It’s just ridiculous. Fuck all that talk of what other top players go through. Protect our own players. Make it a real issue for the coaches who send their players out to be butchers, and the refs that enable them.
