Said the same above in my post Mirth. Thing is, objectively speaking each one of those FA Cup winning seasons is a better season than the one where we challenged for the title and did not win.
Yes, the clubs prospects may look better with a league challenge as that shows you are a strong ish team with the potential to do better next season. And yes the FA Cup alone could be papering over the cracks of an otherwise unbalanced or otherwise dysfunctional team that managed to put things together for 7 games. It tells you more about what it could potentially mean for future seasons and less about the success of the current season.
If the end result is players wanting to leave after 4 trophy less seasons where we challenged or leaving after winning 4 FA Cups because they wanted more, I'd rather have the 4 FA Cups.
