Clrnc I know you like him. But I also remember you were very frustrated back in the fall and said he’d been absolute crap. So it’s nice that he’s reaching his potential and justifying the faith folks had in him.

Claudius I thought so too but recent posts below piqued my curiosity and I scrolled up. I only had 1 negative thing to say about him which was back in Nov where I apologised for my misplaced faith in him. Most of the other posts are hopeful or positive.

I am surprised some of the backtracking here, because these are also the exact posters who are extremely critical of him. There was almost no positive posts above from aug to nov and then now I am hearing things like "told you to give him time".

Gurgen When he first broke through in Germany he was seen by some as one of the most talented players to have come through. There was a reason why R.Madrid were also interested in the summer.

He was just someone who had lost his way, he needs to keep improving and keep consistent now but we are starting to see the kind of levels he is capable of.

He is going through another little scoring streak which seems to be how he scores his goals. Hope he can keep it going! If not, Arteta shouldn't be afraid to rotate.

Yesterday was the first time I've seen him take a shot with confidence. It's almost like we're nursing him through his PTSD from his time at Chelsea.

Mirth yeah there was a stark difference between that finish and the goals he sort of bundled in before Christmas. The question now is can he keep that confidence or will he be a bit of a streaky player. And can he score these goals when its 0-0. Not to take anything away from him, he's been a huge part of this dominant run and for me has won his place as starting CF in the team.

Qwiss to me he's proved that he's still got the talent we saw 2-3 years ago even though he's evolved as a player. Now it's up to him to become an undisputed starter.

Yeah that finish was unreal, everything about it from the moment he received the ball was great and just not typical of what we've seen of him so far. He continues to have me more and more confused every game but I like it. He should continue as first choice CF for sure.

I wanted him out , and I still think we overpaid too much for him but I'll admit he is changing my mind in the last few weeks. Hope it continues and he keeps Jesus out of the team with his performances.
