His run for the second goal was top class. While others were naturally drawn to the ball/ Martinelli, he saw the space and aggressively attacked it. Back when we were making the comparisons to Xhaka, that's what stood out for me (besides aerial ability) and was the reason I believed he could be an upgrade - his forward running is a clear strength. I recall one of those stat compilations highlighting this and labeling him a "space invader". Now that he's being deployed as a false 9, he can get to pick his spots and utilize this quality more regularly and effectively. Great to see him believe he belongs.
Just needs to work a bit on his finishing and a bit more on his vision. For example, Saka's goal was good, but Declan for me, was the ideal forward pass. There are a few other times he doesn't select (what I believe to be) the right option to full maximize our attack. Otherwise, keep up the good work, Kai.
