Doubt they’ll kill it. But I haven’t to say, right or wrong, not being able to fully celebrate goals is 1000% the worst thing about it.
I think a lot of fans would have conflicted feelings, have debates about what outcome is preferable etc.
The way they actually went to the game to cheer City on and take joy in their loss is something else. Something obvious has been going on. Broadcasters figured out contentious decisions engage viewers so they're now a focus of vision, commentary and analysis.
Referees as the heroes and villains of these decisions are wanting to slyly cut themselves a slice of the action: celebrity profiles, airtime and money. It's unsound, unseemly and riddled with moral hazard. Cut out the dead wood, give referees a raise and shut them up.

I want a "game-raising cunts" table where points are scaled appropriately by the season-long average points-per-game-against of each opponent, let's say you only get 3 / 2.4 = 1.25 points for a win against an opponent that's offered up 2.4 points on average.
