There have always been rumours the refs don't want VAR and are purposefully undermining the system. Yesterday again a blatant penalty turned down for Newcastle, I mean in real time it is hard to spot but from the replays it is clear that Gordon was fouled. If they can't pick this up from a replay then you do wonder about their competency.

Also the amount of times freeze frame screenshots are used to 'prove ' something but don't give you the full context. You just end up in conspiracy theory rabbit holes.
