flobaba There's no doubt this season is a lock as a huge success by any rational standard. I'm sure I'll be able to dimly recall that by, you know, August or something if we don't now win the league.

Nah, seriously can't recall a better time in a long time to be a gooner. Liverpool are only chuffed they scraped a draw with us because they're so jealous of what we've got. Well they can steal two points, but not an aggregate thousand years of youth in their moribund squad 😂

Burnwinter It feels great to hear things about us to be honest. Before the match at Anfield they were cursing us, the day after I went for a stadium tour and there were many fans in that tour who were at the match. They think it could have gone either way but is happy with a draw. Says a lot about it.

Also after the match, the staff there (spoke to a couple of them) all thinks we will win the league. They said the way we played we have something about us that City doesn’t and they haven’t seen such a great match for a long time. They are jealous but admiring our quality this season

Oh and they adore Saka but thinks both our Brazilian forwards are divers ironically

Chelsea home game has now been moved to 2nd May. April just got less crueler 😉

Seriously though while we get some extra recovery for the Chelsea game, there is a lesser turnaround for Newcastle away.

But still 5 days to prepare for the barcodes. To be honest, allowing for injuries, this has worked out very nicely for us, got to take advantage of it now.

Yeah all things considered, it has worked out pretty well.

We play West Ham on Sunday, 5 days later Southampton, 5 days later City, 6 days later Chelsea, 5 days later Newcastle and 7 days later Brighton.

That's a very good spread .

Arteta needs to figure this shit out. His inexperience is showing alongside the team's. This will go down as a complete bottle job.

It's starting to look like our top 4 fight where we completely lost it against Newcastle without putting up a fight

I think that will be it,I don't think we seem to have the mentality in the team to weather these types of setbacks. I don't see us winning every game until the end of the season with what we have. City on for the treble.

Watching the performance from today and last weekend, it's difficult for me to see us going to City and doing what needs to be done. God help us if we go ahead..

We simply cannot beat City. They are a better team with a better coach and deal with pressure much better. Not even getting into if theey need help, the refs will be there no question asked. They beat us without worry at the Emirates. Away from home we don't even score against them(we almost never score at home either). 3/4-0 for City, easy. We will finish second...and it's ok, it's where we are at. I'm happy about getting CL

It'll be tough one to take because however it may feel things are against us we've had some big moments going our way. The Villa, United and Bournemouth late winners could easily have not happend and that's 6 more points shaved off the total. It's why I'm not that confident we will automatically be in the mix next year and why making the most of the luck swinging your way is so crucial.

Today was bad but all on Arteta. So many rookie mistakes. Why take Ode off just before he was taking the free - kick? Jesus is fit now, another moronic decision.

Starting Saliba v Sporting has proven to be suicidal.

We bottle this season and because of last then we become Spurs like going into next season and effectively are bottle jobs. 3 years now without a trophy too so next season massive pressure on Arteta.

Of course we can also go on to be the first team of all those stats not to win the title and make record

That’s not how injuries work.

Finishing on 90+ points this season does not mean this is a bottle job. It means we haven’t been perfect, which 10 years of financial doping allows you to be.
