Chelsea home game has now been moved to 2nd May. April just got less crueler 😉
Seriously though while we get some extra recovery for the Chelsea game, there is a lesser turnaround for Newcastle away.
But still 5 days to prepare for the barcodes. To be honest, allowing for injuries, this has worked out very nicely for us, got to take advantage of it now.
Yeah all things considered, it has worked out pretty well.
We play West Ham on Sunday, 5 days later Southampton, 5 days later City, 6 days later Chelsea, 5 days later Newcastle and 7 days later Brighton.
That's a very good spread .
Hope Pep has a moan about it.
Burnwinter They fucking failed. Arteta needs to figure this shit out. His inexperience is showing alongside the team's. This will go down as a complete bottle job.
It's starting to look like our top 4 fight where we completely lost it against Newcastle without putting up a fight
Hate to be the prophet of false hope but win next week's game and we're 7 ahead before our game against city, get a draw at least and we're looking good again. Top 4 assured so nothing to lose now.
IBL City has Sheffield the game before, they'll be well rested. They're going to trounce us.
I hope we get something out of that game. We're fucked if we don't
IBL that assumes we will win at St James. We won't
I think that will be it,I don't think we seem to have the mentality in the team to weather these types of setbacks. I don't see us winning every game until the end of the season with what we have. City on for the treble.
Watching the performance from today and last weekend, it's difficult for me to see us going to City and doing what needs to be done. God help us if we go ahead..
Threads a curse. I blame the last 2 results on Burnsy.
Qwiss I blame the last 2 results on Burnsy.
Your mum's a curse.
We simply cannot beat City. They are a better team with a better coach and deal with pressure much better. Not even getting into if theey need help, the refs will be there no question asked. They beat us without worry at the Emirates. Away from home we don't even score against them(we almost never score at home either). 3/4-0 for City, easy. We will finish second...and it's ok, it's where we are at. I'm happy about getting CL
naz it could be our OT moment in 97/98 season, doubt it though.
It'll be tough one to take because however it may feel things are against us we've had some big moments going our way. The Villa, United and Bournemouth late winners could easily have not happend and that's 6 more points shaved off the total. It's why I'm not that confident we will automatically be in the mix next year and why making the most of the luck swinging your way is so crucial.
Clrnc it's a big ask but seeing them get beat at Villa gives some hope.

Didn’t you say we were going to definitely win the title?
Today was bad but all on Arteta. So many rookie mistakes. Why take Ode off just before he was taking the free - kick? Jesus is fit now, another moronic decision.
Starting Saliba v Sporting has proven to be suicidal.
We bottle this season and because of last then we become Spurs like going into next season and effectively are bottle jobs. 3 years now without a trophy too so next season massive pressure on Arteta.
we can win at Etihad and we can win at St. James, I am optimistic about both but its really only about Friday.
KingslandBarge Fair enough.
In reality, we lost a 4 point cushion in the last two games. It's still in our hands completely. No more room for error unless City makes errors.
Sicario2 - Tier 1 Didn’t you say we were going to definitely win the title
Historic stats at various points of the season suggested we will win the title.
Of course we can also go on to be the first team of all those stats not to win the title and make record
Sicario2 - Tier 1 Starting Saliba v Sporting has proven to be suicidal.
That’s not how injuries work.
Finishing on 90+ points this season does not mean this is a bottle job. It means we haven’t been perfect, which 10 years of financial doping allows you to be.
That Sporting game fucked us. I think we would've had an extra 2, maybe 4, with Saliba in our lineup
How many times has a team from outside the top 4 won the title? I can think of Leicester but that was one in a million.
Today we played 4-0 football at 2-0 up. Stupid.
Arteta been found out a little recently. Saka should have been taken off after the pen miss, Nelson looked lively when he came on.
Anyway rather lose the title like this than heartbreak on the last day of the season .
