daredevil agree with this. Saka is the worst thing that happened to Pepe. Along with that season that our strategy changed to rebuilding the team in Arteta’s image. But Saka probably helped that process along. A bit like Fabregas accelerating the move from the invincibles

Of course we can/could have. Having Pepe as back up to Saka wouldn't have been a bad thing and Saka was always going to oust whoever was in front of him as first choice.

I would expect both ESR and Nelson to leave this season. Must be frustrating seeing Havertz, Nketiah and Vieira picked ahead of them.

Doesn't that sort of answer your question? We've had a ton of injuries in his position and he's still barely played. With those players returning by January it doesn't seem likely he'll play more than the odd FA Cup game.

goon With Partey's injury problems and then factor in Odegaard and ESR we might end up using him more often than we think. I did like his cameos and bringing him on late to try and influence games. The guy has got a pass on him and we need that in reserve

This might be true but Vieira has played more minutes than Smith-Rowe. It's within the realm of possibility that Smith-Rowe outcompetes Vieira but I don't see how one can say that he has done so at this current moment in time.
