So one player achieved more with his country and one achieved more at club-level and to settle the dispute you just need to ask the people from his country. Makes total sense.
World Cup 2022

It's fine to prefer Maradonna to Messi but this is a bad take regardless.

You cant compare Barca 2008-2015 aka the best club side ever to Napoli 1985-1990. Seria a was much harder to win than La Liga for starters. Maradona's club achievements were greater. Dont forget back then only one team per country could play in the CL aka the European Cup so Maradona had less opportunities. He did win a UEFA Cup though.
Listen Big Willie, Maradona is in the heart of Argentineans, Messi is not. Maradona is a one off, polar opposite of Messi.
You don't need to have lived in the city or been there to know this. I've watched enough documentaries on both.
I think ppl that prefer Messi weren't old enough to have seen Maradona or they grew up with Messi.
Ask old footballers like Rio Ferdinand and any players that are 40 plus and 99% say El Diego.
When Maradona died, all the Brazilian legendary players showed their respect and called him the GOAT. That wouldn't happen to any normal player especially due to the rivalry between the two countries.
Messi cant tie Maradona's boots when it comes to GOAT debate and today again showed why Messi is far behind. When his county needs him he often goes missing (remember that pen miss in 2016 copa america when the pussy retired from his country like the coward he is).
The pussy

You are talking about something generational though.
I have a very different relationship with Italia 90 (my first World Cup) than I do with any other World Cup. Even USA 94. I remember practically every game from those 2 tournaments. Ask me to name a game from the 2018 tournament other than the semis or final, and I will genuinely struggle. The players who shaped how you see football are deeply important to you - and it is important to understand that is why icons like Pele, the Beetles, Maradona, Michael Jackson are so revered by people who have had prominent voices in media to date.

Dembele is Mauritanian not Senegalese I think.

I believe he is Mauritanian on dad side and Senegalese on mom side.

Damn mate. What has Messi done to you? Didnt want to sign your shirt?
Haha I am massive Maradona fan. Childhood hero so I may be biased as Claudius said.
Just think sometimes he is under appreciated in the GOAT debate.
Poland Mexico is a bore fest.
Maradona, Lacazette and Mourinho die hard. Good trio

Nope. Only Maradona die hard. Laca was just a good servant for us, not even in my top 10 Arsenal players of all time. Jose is a cunt but top 5 manager of all time.
Ochoa what a brilliant WC keeper
Only seen the first one (I think there are five episodes), but great watch so far.
Some of you lot are perhaps too knowledgeable for this to bring anything new to the table, but I'm not.
Giroud up front for France.
Saliba, Varane and Kounde all benched for Pavard, Upamecano and Konate. Camavinga and Fofana benched for Rabiot.
Rabiot doesn’t strike me as a WC style player. He’s too loose, not someone you can count on.
Deschamps don't deserve any success with that shit lineup. Lucas Hernandez instead of Theo too, yucks
Just realised France only have Muani, Coman and Thuram as backup attackers after Deschamps refuse to replace Benzema. Amateur
Southgate and Deschamps have waste extraordinary talent for successive tournaments. Crimes against humanity. Saka took it out of Southgate's hands and must have absolutely killed it in training just to edge out Foden.
What is this World Cup lol
Yep it's been coming for Deschamps
That's the tournament done for Lucas too probably, but that's good news for France
