Tam doesn't really matter who's the replacement for who. Unless MLS is going into a midfield role we need another player. It looks clear enough that arsenal wanted to both keep Partey and get Zubi if the terms were agreeable.

lorddulaarsenal Zubimendi, Merino and Odegaard will be our first choice for sure. They have the Sociedad connect, as well as national team chemistry (for the Spaniards). We should be solid. We would just need a body to act as back up and we are set in the midfield for the foreseeable.

If we're going to sign some journeyman to replace him like Norgaard then we might as well keep him.

Think that's what'll prevent him from signing a new deal more than anything else: he won't start, and he won't get a bonus for running down his contract. The two big benefits of being a free agent is that you can choose where you want to go and get a sign-on bonus when you do. Most players choose to go somewhere they know they'll play.

Personally I think he'll play in Italy next season, maybe at Juve or sime similar scummy club.

Trossard is set to become the new 2021/2022 Lacazette unfortunately. Sure he's still technically a forward (on paper), but he's a very old and poor forward indicative of us not doing enough in the transfer market.

Aside from the fact that he's a rapist his defending is actually infuriating. I'd forgotten how much I hated seeing him one-on-one. It's why he made such a horrible fullback at Atletico: heels planted in the ground, ass hanging out, huge tunnel between the legs like he derives some kind of sick pleasure from being nutmegged. That yellow he got was very out of character. Every other error is from being overly casual. Then all of a sudden he gets a yellow for being hyper aggressive, he never gets involved in that stuff. The second I saw it, I thought if I was a dodgy super billionaire he's the morally void guy you'd pay of to fook the other team.
