Pepe LeFrits Yep Camavinga is a technician (one of his main strengths). Compare his technique to Valverde or Tchouameni for example.....

This is the worst match I have seen him play for sometime and he's still done a lot of good things. I'd say he's been Madrid's best player this year.

Gazza M I would have thought Klopp was the best person to oversee an overhaul, but their recruitment recently has been puzzling to say the least.

I remember getting worried the Scousers were going to run riot every time I watched Madrid in recent weeks. Their form has been quite patchy and have looked quite disjointed/easy to play through. At 2-0 down tonight, I was thinking "I was expecting this" but they never panicked. They slowly got into the game and went on to completely outclass Liverpool. These guys are serial winners.

goon that's my thinking as well. they're like us, in that 2-3 expensive mistakes can set them back years. it's hard to recover quickly once you're swimming against that tide

Salah + Mane was a freak of nature combi. One is now gone and the other one past his best so will be tough for them.

Clrnc It was more than just Salah and Mane, good as they were individually. Firmino, whilst not quite on their level was a key component of them and a big part of what made their attack better than the sum of its parts. The chemistry and understanding of that front free was their biggest strength, and nobody was going to come in and replace any of them and keep Liverpool at the same level.

The Liverpool attack will be fine - they have some good players like Jota, Diaz and Nuenz coming through. Plus Salah has still scored 19 goals despite having a 'bad' season.

Its their midfield that boggles the mind. Barely even a top 10 Premier league midfield.

Mirth True, some really good pieces for the future. I think they can stabilise themselves as a contender with just 1 really good or 2 good moves in the summer market.

Tam disagree. Jota came in and took Firmino's spot last season, so that's not anything new. Jota, however, has largely been injured this season.

Yeah. Liverpool always had average midfield too, their key trait is to always progress the ball fast to the 2 wingers who does magic on their own. Basically just a very ageing squad now it happens to every club.

Just unlucky that during their peak they had a peak Citeh to compete with to. Still 1 PL and 1 UCL isn't a bad return

Clrnc I don't know if I'd call their midfield 'average' - it wasn't as good as Man City but peak Fabinho and Wijnaldum would have a good chance at getting into our team today

Mirth Wijnaldum was super underrated. Very clever and technical player.

I hope Napoli can hold on to both of them. Osimhen seems destined to end up at Chelsea for 150m and Kvaratskhelia seems like a Man City player. The latter especially reminds me of Pires.
