A couple more windows should see us in great shape. Focus to be on getting a striker, central midfielder and another option at rightback.

Yup, agree. I've got my eye on Alexander Isaak for next summer. He's the one that looks the kind of 9 I love, with the perfect profile to fit what we would need. An example of a player we had zero chance of this summer, but if, and it is a big if at this stage, we can put together a good season and re-establish ourselves as top 6 club, we might have a chance at next summer.

Those of you suggesting Royal 'preferred' Spurs over Arsenal, I believe this troll is your source. Blimey.

It's much worse by us if he didn't prefer Spurs but we simply wanted to buy another CB instead.

Yep. I always said wait till the end of the window to judge but now it just seems like we splashed on all the wrong places. At least Tomiyasu is a good signing and value for money in the end.

I now believe Barca were considering Lacazette when they are signing De Jong

Fair chance we will if we can keep Partey fit.

It’s actually better to face Chelsea and City early on whilst we are in disarray because chances out we will have lost those games even with a fully fit up to speed squad.

I don't see it with Tomiyasu at all. I hope these guys know what they are doing while deciding on talent.

These guys have proven they don't know what they're doing over the past 2 years. What makes you think anything has changed since?

Because in terms of individuals - Partey, White, Lokonga, Ødegaard, Gabriel are all players I can get behind. I like that the staff saw it with them. That collectively the squad amounts to a mish mash and priorities, football ideas, all seem very absurd is another thing.

I am struggling to see it with Tomiyasu as a RB talent or even a first choice CB.

Yeah, I told myself this in 2007.

Even if they are right about the quick fix I can't see Arteta as the answer

To be fair that midfield of Cesc, Hleb and Rosicky behind RvP and a Theo Walcott with potential was shaping up well.

Should get at least 5th then seeing as that's where we were 2 years ago.

Arteta isn’t a quick or slow fix. If anything, he’s going make the fix take longer than it needs to be by causing more problems.

Still can't believe how badly run Barca is. Had to let Griezmann and Emerson go because they still can't register some of the other players despite Alba and Busquest taking a paycut today just for the purpose of registering the injured Aguero. Insane.

And we didn't raid them at all.

If we sent Arteta to raid them, he’d probably come back having spent 40m on Braithwaite.

Talking about 40m, can't believe Atleti willing to let Saul go for just 40m euros next summer in the loan option.

Hope we do well enough this year to have a chance to sign Joao Felix next summer. Atleti willing to let him go for the right price because their finance cant take it.

Kolasinac is still here. I find that unbelievable.

Balogun should really go on loan too, to a Championship outfit.

Turkish window is still open for another few days.

Hopefully we will find a buyer for Kolasinac and Elneny and not stay adamant about some unrealistic transfer fee in return.

To be fair, if we sold them at the prices those Turkish clubs were likely willing to pay, you'd still get a tonne of people saying we sold for peanuts and that we're a terrible selling club. All of which may be true but at some point, you have to start changing the perception that we're easy sellers, even if it's a tad painful in the short term.

We need Elneny now and I'm keen to see how he fares during Xhaka's suspension. Him on form would be a huge bonus. I've seen unverified that Tomiyasu's played 16 games as a DM. Might need a bit more of that when we lose Partey and Elneny.

have any of our moves actually been confirmed yet?

This video shows a bit more of Tomiyasu's quality on the ball. He looks a good, versatile player. Should gain a bit more power in the next year or two as well given he's only 22.

Not sure what you are on about, constantly missing the point but 100% of this forum I'm sure will be delighted to let Elneny and Kolasinac go on a free let alone any fee to clubs or what.

White is more likely to play at DM than Tomi

Joao Felix is the dream signing.

His eye for goal, dribbling, drops deep.

The perfect false nine.

Elneny is garbage. Most people would be happy to see the back of him. AMN has just been forced to stay, should be ahead of Elneny in midfield at the very least.

Fuck me. Is he left or right footed?

Very good defending one v one. We basically don’t have any fullbacks who are good at that

Can Flo still go on loan to the Championship after the window closes?

Yup.

I can’t believe we’re going to lose Eddie on a free. From his perspective, how the hell do you choose to not play football for a year over joining Crystal Palace for a slightly more modest wage?

I'm more sympathetic to our stance when it comes to guys like Eddie where we wouldn't have gotten much money anyway. He looked very good in preseason. Maybe he gets a bit of playing time this season, does well, and we manage to swing an extension? It's not really an outlandish idea. I think it's fine to keep him around for that possibility, same way we did with Balogun last season. It might work out or it might not but those ten million that were on the table aren't going to make a jot of difference either way. We would probably just have used them to pay Willian to fuck off.

On a different note, it looks like Barca have messed up Griezmann's return to Atletico by not getting the deal done in time 😆 😆

It feels good to know that no matter what we're not the worst run big club in Europe.

I’m going to miss seeing videos of these guys.

lol hilarious show

Romano confirms Griezmann to Atletico and De Jong to Barca. Both deals will go through.

😆 Wait till he sees Barca world class attack now. Totally transformed by Koeman

Depay De Jong Braithwaite

after being blessed with what they've been blessed with in the past, they deserve that. like we would have deserved our current fate if we had done a treble in the invincible season, but since it was just the league, we don't deserve this.

If there were anything like karma Barcelona would be in Tercera Division for their 09-17 years.
