My only hope is that Sheffield really dig their heels in and refuse to sell like Raya and Brentford last season. Arteta looks hell-bent on fucking everything up for his successor. Let's be honest, there's no way he lasts the whole season.

Was also player of the season at those clubs if I have it right. Which suggests it wasn't him and those teams were just bloody terrible.

Goalkeepers winning player of the month/season regularly is always a terrible sign.

We’re as bad as Everton when they spent 30m on Pickford, Keane etc except we’re spending it ramsdale and white. Maddison can be our sigurdson

Shoud strengthen us for our midtable position

Arteta reminds me of Roberto martinez, awful but for some reason rated by some because of being a good speaker.

yeah i love the top tier streak, but these clowns have to go and colossal failure is the only way they'll depart. they know they suck too that's why they wanted to be protected from relegation in the super league.

yup. failed up to the beligum job and then wasted a golden generation with his mediocrity. hopefully arteta fails up to spain because i hate them.

because leno doesn't want to be here anymore. yeah the clown duo running the football operations could have figured that out before they sold a superior keeper for 20m and then turn around and spend 24 on an inferior one the next season.

only thing i can really hope for with this club is to be so spectacularly wrong about my prognosis that in a few years i'm feeling like shit for doubting beavis and butthead ... for even calling them that.

I'd rather we go in hard for Martinez. Leno would then have to ride the bench for the next 2 seasons.

Honestly I agree Tactics. No way Villa would be able to refuse 40m for someone they just bought for less than half that a year ago. But buying Ramsdale? For £30m? Bro I'd rather resign Kolasinac than spend that on such an average keeper.

I know many keepers do well into their 30s but I’m not sure about spending £40m on a 29yr old Martinez. Just go for Onana ffs, you literally cannot go wrong.

He'd at least give us 3-4 years. Ramsdale on the other hand, talk about being irresponsible.we have so many holes in the squad yet we choose to focus on goalkeeper. I know Leno isn't Martinez but he's still pretty good, and if he wants out then he can suck it up cuz he's under contract.
