Why a loan ffs? And why are Everton broke all of a sudden?

If Laca is staying then we need to loan out Balogun asap. Will do his development absolutely no good to stay here as 4th choice for the centre forward spot.

I can't believe there are 36 hours to go and we have 4 right backs at the club.

I'd be tempted to just keep Eddie and try to get him to extend with us if he gets playing time this season. He looked so good in preseason, one of few players who were genuinely exciting. It seems like many people in the game are just waiting for him to explode too as soon as he catches up physically.

The alternative would be to sell him with a buyback clause I guess, that would be completely fine too. But outright giving him away for pocket change (10-12 million) which we'll end up wasting anyway is not appealing at all to me. I think we should try to keep him if we can.

I think they are on the brink of failing that FFP shit

If it's a loan it should be with an obligation rather than option. Best case if we don’t get a new RB is play him here of course.

I'd say keep Niles too and see what the next manager does with him.

I don't see a future where Niles is in the ideal first XI personally. He'd have been the perfect utility player at a club that didn't insist on having 4 right backs and Elneny, but I don't get the impression that's something he wants either at this point.

WE had no buy back for Willock, we wont get one for Eddie either.

Not under Arteta anyway. I think you could manage AMN to be happy mostly playing a filler role in 2/3 positions as long as you used him enough and kept him believing he's gonna get the chance to prove himself in midfield. A bit like Wenger saying in the media Theo could be a great striker, playing him there once or twice a season and then using him as a winger 99% of the time.

We shouldn't be looking to get rid of players who might have a future under another manager and are on comparatively low wages. Priority should be offloading guys like Elneny, Cedric and Xhaka.

If Arteta is given more chances to spend while being a dead man walking, we will just be lumbered with more expensive players for our bloated squad that will be even more difficult for a new guy to turnaround.

I wonder if Arteta has blocked the Kolasinac contract termination, just so he can have another safety option at the back. Would be another poor set of decisions.

Lol. That would be hilarious, in a very not good way.

Not a proper documentary without big man Kola. Didn't mean to pile on Arteta there; seems Arsenal just don't want to pay him out for some other outfit, but rather incur the same cost whilst having another player to use. Given there is no transfer bid from Fenerbahce or wage relent from Kola.

I don't get it.  IMO we need to purge to be able to move forward without any baggage.  We're never going to recoup anything for him in a depression and he'll leave as a free agent.  Suck it up and just clean the slate ffs.

Fuck him, pay him 100% of his wages so he can leave on a free? What are we to these pricks? an ATM? Send him to the under 12 for the year.

fucking kolasinac will stay and rack up 20+ starts this season

Someone who does look out on their way is Nelson. Possibly after having failed to land Diallo from United, Feyenoord are targeting a loan for Reiss according to Benge and Wheatley. If concurrent to an extension deal as rumored, it will be an ok transition. Nelson will need to show he's well above that level.

Nelson going out to Feyenoord. Some suggestion that he’s signed a 2 year extension. Good move if true.

Why is that better? Wouldn't the only difference in cost be that we pay him his entire salary for the remainder of his contract now instead of weekly? That's not smart. Both because you don't simply pay earlier than you have to and because you shouldn't tell other players that this is something you're willing to do.

yep. kolasinac is trying it because his mate got away with such a deal. we can't set precedents like that because we have such a collection of deadwood, it would cost a fortune to pay them all out
